“Wendy’s Place” is a cute, hometown cafe (not to be confused with the fast food chain). What a wonderfully, welcoming, cute place with chipper, happy, servers … fun sense of humor too! They even had gluten free toast too (although no dedicated toaster or grill, so not celiac friendly). I’m a two scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, gf toast girl. They even agreed to put mushrooms in my eggs. We are leaving happy customers.
Food was excellent, prices super reasonable, portions large. My only complaint is it took a really long time to get our food, but it was a Sunday morning and the place was super packed.
Carrying on a Minong staple that goes back 4-5 decades. Wendy's (Nelson's Cafe) has dominated the Minong diner (food) scene for so long that I don't know what town would do without it? For the last 45 years, several restaurants have come and gone, but this place survives on a great short order menu, pleasant quaint atmosphere, many Flo's, Hazel's, and yes Wendy's, and some great pie choices!
