My family has been going to Boondocks since 1980. we have always looked forward to stopping there every year when opening and closing the cottage. Since being reopened under new ownership the service has been Terrible. The food is ok but the service SUCKS. My family is currently looking for a new place to eat and drink.
Some of the best BBQ I ever had! The portions were beyond comprehension!And the cheese curds were outta this world!
Don’t forget a nice slice of that key Lime pie! You won’t be disappointed!

The Boondocks is a popular stop with great food and excellent service. This tavern that serves food offers a variety of dishes, including the Cuban, The Stack sandwich, and steak sandwich. Fried mushrooms and hand-cut fries are also a highlight. The bartender is attentive and efficient, and the staff is friendly and hospitable. The bacon potato pancakes are the bomb and a group of 15 from Oklahoma found the food amazing. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked yummy. Be sure to ask for the Boondock sauce to dip your chips in, and enjoy the flavorful and perfectly cooked meals. Prices are good.
