The bacon, egg and cheese bagel breakfast sandwich was a dream - it was hot, had excellent ratios of high quality ingredients, and was the perfect size. It was manageable to eat compared to other breakfast sandwiches that can be too big to bite or fall apart. It was literally perfect. I also ordered the most complex coffee order and it came out delicious. I love all the options of syrups. And, orange zest cold foam?! YUM!
Latte was excellent but food was not good at all. Scone was dense and dry, chocolate croissant good, however they have no way to warm up the items. The chocolate croissant would have been much better had they been able to warm it up. Also very limited seating, difficult to sit down if you want to stay there. We will not go back
We are spoiled for good choices for coffee shops on the east side of Madison now, and Ancora adds another excellent option. We have been several times since they opened, both eating in and the drive through. Workers have always been friendly and efficient, the coffee and food options are several cuts above the big chain coffee shops (they have one of the better breakfast burritos around), and the seating is well lit by giant windows and always clean.
