Latte was excellent but food was not good at all. Scone was dense and dry, chocolate croissant good, however they have no way to warm up the items. The chocolate croissant would have been much better had they been able to warm it up. Also very limited seating, difficult to sit down if you want to stay there. We will not go back
We are spoiled for good choices for coffee shops on the east side of Madison now, and Ancora adds another excellent option. We have been several times since they opened, both eating in and the drive through. Workers have always been friendly and efficient, the coffee and food options are several cuts above the big chain coffee shops (they have one of the better breakfast burritos around), and the seating is well lit by giant windows and always clean. Just got food here with a good friend and I have to come back. Their service is so fast and their food is so good, everything has high quality ingredients and their atmosphere is so inviting. Would highly recommend the hot honey chicken sandwich and any of their matchas. The potatoes were great. One of my favorite cafes in the area for sure. I wish I took pictures but you’ll just have to go see for yourself!
