Today my employer had Fat Jacks cater lunch for approximately 60 employees, it was simply fantastic. The food was absolutely delicious; chicken, pork and beef with sides of potato salad, a pasta sald and baked beans. The staff were extremely attentive and had no difficulty in keeping up. Driving through the area on a trip back home from vacation. Found this place on Google Maps while searching for a meal, and decided to try it. Most of the family got the Smoked Chicken meals, and we all enjoyed it. Definitely recommend eating here

I've been dining at Fat Jack's for over 25 years. I enjoy the food there more than anywhere else in the Madison Wisconsin area. I absolutely love the fish fry, and all barbecue options are stellar. The flavors/quantity/price ratio cannot be beat, regardless of where else you go. I love the simple throw-back atmosphere. Smiles abound. Service is great. Owners are wonderful people if you get a chance to meet them. It's the kind of place you hope NEVER goes away. Dreamer as I may be.

Again, Fat Jack's catering knocks it out of the park with their whole smoked chicken. Like we've done many times through the years, we decided to serve Fat Jack's smoked chicken for our daughter's graduation party. On graduation day, we picked up 17 chickens and were greeted by the same friendly staff. Always a pleasant experience. The smoked chicken was as consistent as always and incredibly delicious. There was plenty of their tasty hot and mild bbq sauce included. I would highly recommend ordering for your next party, your guests will be grateful that you did. Enjoy. Cheers!

Oh my God, this place is the best in all of Madison. It's where you can find the best ribs, with a unique, delicious, and spectacular flavor. I definitely love coming here. I always feel like I'm in heaven when I eat here... (I'm not kidding... in heaven, hehe). You can tell when a place does things right, and this place is no exception. The front-of-house service is also great... I love this place. ❤️🍖

My husband and I ordered the chicken wings, half BBQ chicken with fries / mac and cheese, and jambalaya. The chicken wings were tiny and came with an odd sauce - the menu said they were seasoned which sounds like a dry rub. The jambalaya was nothing like any jambalaya I’ve ever had before. It had huge chunks of vegetables and tasted off. The coleslaw that came with it was terrible. The half chicken was decent but nothing special. The mac and cheese was inedible - the weirdest tasting macaroni I’ve ever had. Very fake with a putrid finish. We will absolutely never get food from here again.

The BBQ is great. I had the pork sandwich. baked beans and fries. Everything was excellent. The BBQ sauce was good also. There is a large eat in area. The people there are nice.

This was actually our second choice, after we found out the first had an hour wait. Walked right in here and ordered and sat down. Got much busier as we ate. Food was amazing!!! I was asking if the red beans and rice were vegetarian and one of the gals told me about a couple other sandwich options they could make! Onion rings were some of the best I've had, adult grilled cheese with tomatoes was awesome, beans and rice were spicy and good. My husband had ribs and chicken wings and picky him loved them. Kids had burgers, which were good size for "kid portion". Prices were reasonable, portions were large, service was impeccable! If we lived nearby, we would definitely be back!
Vegetarian options: Adult sized grilled cheese, veggie burger, red beans and rice, onion rings.
