Go every fall. Love this nostalgic, small town place. The soups, chili are awesome! Love the Braunsweiger sandwich with Swiss on rye.....have the mustard too!

Cheese store in the front, deli turned restaurant/bar towards the back. Decor embraces the Switzerland vibe in the area. Curds are broiled not fried, but delicious. Enjoyed the pretzel and cheese sauce also. Great selection of cheese sandwiches, cold or grilled. Salad was delicious with large portions. Kids enjoyed the half slab ribs for $10. This place is pretty cool, definitely with a check.

From their cheese focused menu, and local craft beers, to the kitchy decor that hasn't seen an update since the Carter administration. Hidden behind the small town charms, however, is a menu simple, charming, and deeply delicious.

If youre in the neighborhood, give them a hello, and have a snack, lunch, or just a cocktail.

Good place for a quick lunch stop. Cheese Sandwiches are simple but the cheese is good. They have New Glarus beers on tap and other local and national beer options too, plus a full bar. They also have pre packaged cheeses and cheese plate option for to-go convenience. The staff were all attentive and exemplary "Midwest kind".

this has been a family favorite for years. Had a bloody Mary with a Huber Bock chaser, which was delicious and the service was great. Also picked up some baby Swiss and 19-year-old cheddar while I was there so I am very happy!
