The mocha was great, service was kind and fast for a busy little cafe, and the turkey cranberry sandwich was satisfying in a way that was both good quality and unique in the flavor. The exact reason you go local over a chain. Don't let the strip mall facade turn you off, once you walk in it's a legit cafe and the kinda place you'd want to go to catch up with friends or work.

A beautiful hidden gem! Great coffee, fantastic food, reasonable prices, and lovely atmosphere. My partner and I very much enjoyed camping out in the corner with our coffee and food on our laptops to work for a couple of days. Probably our favorite place in Monroe that we will definitely return to next time we’re in town.

The outside doesn't give this little local gem justice. Cute, homey place with great coffee. We didn't have any food but the coffee options were on point. They offer lunch and sweet treats as well as coffee. The girl who checked us out and made our drinks was super friendly. Just a 4 min. drive from historic downtown it is worth the drive on the way in or out. The bathroom was clean and large. Lots of table seating inside and a couch towards the back. Plenty of parking too. I appreciate that they provided wonderful service even though they were open on a day when others were closed for the holiday. We called ahead to make sure since many other businesses' didn't update their hours. This pregnant mama was very happy to have her iced coffee in this July heat.

Kid-friendliness: Lots of space and table seating

So we thought Pancho and Lefty‘s was the only really great restaurant in town. We were wrong. Perks Coffee Café, despite its unprepossessing exterior, was just unbelievably good. It was a very pleasant physical space, had really nice employees, and we had a couple of extraordinarily good and creative sandwiches.

Don't let the cover fool ya. The inside is welcoming, comfortable and friendly just like the staff. The coffee and scones were great. I highly suggest.

Asian salmon with rice and veggies were very tasty. Quality over quantity. It takes a little longer but it's worth it if you have the time to spare.I took my Dad out for lunch and we were able to sit back and enjoy our coffee and talk while we waited for our food. It is a very relaxing atmosphere.
