My sister and I stopped here on our way back from Wautoma for lunch. Its a lot bigger in there than it appears from the outside. We both had breakfast entrees. I had their chicken fried steak. Let me tell you, it was huge! I haven't found one i liked since my favorite restaurant closed.... until I tried this one! Hashbrowns were perfect and my eggs were perfect. My sister had an omelet and she couldn't eat all of it. After that chicken fried steak, I was full all day!!! It was fabulous!! It was reasonably priced. It was a lot of food! We definitely will be back! I want to try out the fish fry.

Food was not good, charged an egg upcharge WHY, and was not told, till I saw the bill, was given a half a piece of cheese on top of my omelet with none inside when asked for more put on one piece and charged me .50, cost 14.40 for a two egg omelet, never again will we eat there,

Started working today and got fired 5 hours later. Its a very toxic environment and they will not train you the right way, that explains why they are so short staffed. Girl training us didn’t train us but just threw stuff at us and told us to do it. I don’t recall thats what training is. They use bare hands when handling your food not ONCE did I see anyone wash their hands before touching food. Also you will get yelled at for messing up the smallest thing. They only wash their dishes with a jet setted sink. The “trainer” would only take orders and make us give them their food while we cleaned the tables, took the dishes, refilled cups, etc. while she got to keep all the tips. Also would not trust the syrup containers since they use the dirty table rags sitting in dirty water to clean the lids of the syrups. Overall would not work here again they aren’t sanitary, coworkers were very rude, getting fired the first day should tell you guys all you need to know!!

I had the jumbo chicken fried steak, American fries, sourdough toast and scrambled eggs. This was soooooo tender it cut with a fork, homemade gravy was delicious. The BEST I have ever had. Took up an oval plate. I almost ate it all, was to good not to try. My Mom had eggs.hashbrowns. cinnamon swirl toast. She said it was good but she wasn't feeling good to start with. Cute little cafe. Waitresses were very nice. Cook was awesome and everyone so friendly. Wished I lived here, I think we would be friends. Just felt very welcoming like customers are their friends. Would come back in a heartbeat!!!!! 2 days later we returned. Had the same thing and Mom had 1 pancake.....plate sized. Awesome again. The chef is Mama herself!!!!

I would recommend anybody going through this small town of montello please stop in for lunch or breakfast. The staff is so friendly and the food is so so yummy. Can't wait to come back
