We were told about this eatery by a friend of ours who is also a local resident. So on our way to Berlin, WI. from Beloit, we stopped in for lunch. We will be stopping in again. Best sandwiches we have had in a long time. Good conversations and friendly atmosphere.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! This restaurant is an absolute hidden gem. The quality of service is outstanding and the food is even better! The soups change daily and all fresh and homemade and the sandwiches are out of this world! The creamy potato ham soup and the California club are my absolute favorite but everything else on the menu is UNREAL AND DELICIOUS!

Had the soup flight the gumbo,shepherds pie and butter soup was delicious then we also had the hot honey chicken egg rolls very yummy definitely worth making the drive Also had to get the apple pear bread and come back to get a couple more loaves before hitting the road Will definitely be coming back!

Out of towners stopped in to check it our on a Sat afternoon. Place was packed. I ordered beefy mushroom and chicken dumpling soup. Both were amazing. It was busy with that being said there is naturally a waite time. It seemed to me however they needed better organization with completing orders and maybe using the customers name attached to the order would help them claim whats theirs. Otherwise our order sat at the counter for over 10 plus minutes until I approached to ask if it was mine. The soup was well worth the waite and I will go back whenever I return to the area. This place is a little gem!

If a little lunch place in a little town like Montello is full at noon and has a line nearly out the door, you know it's going to be a great lunch. The Italian sausage soup and the Cuban sandwich for so much I had to take some home. And the free flavored mini oyster crackers are wonderful. Throw Indy pay it forward wall and you've got a home run. I will be back every time in town!
