Plywood Palace, also known as Moquah Bar, is a renowned bar popular among UTV/ATV riders passing through. The owner is reserved, but the beers are affordable, and there are no pours. While the experience is a must-see, visitors are advised to stick to packaged drinks and use the restroom before visiting.
This regional landmark is a rustic establishment that stands out on its own. It is conveniently located off the Tri-County Corridor, approximately 8 miles west of Ashland. The bar is made of OSB board, has holes in the roof, and is heated with a wood burner. Porta potties and a jukebox that plays random songs add to the unique atmosphere. Cash is the only accepted payment method.
Despite its humble appearance, the Plywood Palace is full of great history, as confirmed by the locals. The owner is known to be friendly and efficient, even during busy times. This one-of-a-kind place is a must-see destination for visitors.
