Ordered a carry out fish fry March 1st....the fish was a different shape and MUSHY? Another review for the same day said the same thing about the fishfry. Have ordered good fishfry takeouts many times before. Buckhorn...did you have to change suppliers? Something happened!!!.... and won't take a chance on getting a mushy fishfry from here again until hear you got the fish back you were serving. The baked was still the same fish as they always serve. Response to owner: I did try to reach you twice. Left my name and number. Good to hear it was an ordering mistake!

Service was good. Our bartender was nice. The portions were good too. My buddy and I both got the Friday Fish Fry and it was overcooked and mushy. Neither of us cared for it.Our neighbor at the bar got the burger instead of the fish and he seemed to enjoy that.

We visited Buckhorn Grill last Saturday around 11pm. The service was great. The bartender made time to tell us about the area and things to do. He even made sure to prioritize getting our toddlers food out first and my ask for plastic silverware for my little one.Our food was wonderful. I had the brisket tacos and I was very surprised with how great they were as brisket isn’t normally my number one choice.Looking forward to coming back.

My family and I were visiting the area and were looking forward to having dinner here on Thursday night. I have never felt more judged in my life. As soon as we walked in we had a stare down from the employees and guests. It was such a bad vibe, I had never felt so profiled. We all felt uncomfortable. When we asked if they had a table they told us the kitchen closed at 7 when their site states 8. Needless to say they did not want to serve us.

Avoid! Called at 830pm and asked how long they took food orders and she said 9pm. Put family in the car and was there at 8:40pm and door was locked. She came to the door and said they were closed. I said I literally just called 10 mi it's ago and she said sorry. I guess the 2 guys she was entertaining at the closed bar was more important.

Just past the “grade” (which is a narrow road with water on both sides) off Castle Rock Lake, is a tiny bar featuring smoke house specialties. They have a decent menu with some unique items, like kick’n corn salad. The prices are super reasonable. The ribs were definitely incognito. I thought they may be mediocre, but I was happily wrong. They were perfect! You could pick them up but they didn’t disintegrate on you. Don’t get me wrong, they were tender, and the bones still could be pulled out easily. The seasoning was perfecto! They have a nice selection of sauces that paired well.The coleslaw was not soggy and not too sweet or too creamy. The cabbage still had some crunch. The kick’n corn salad was sweet corn with a cream cheese base that carried a mild heat with it. Everything was good and super quick! I am talking under 10min.My husband had a burger that he said was good, however, wasn’t a fan of the Mac’n Cheese. He thought that is was bland. I thought it looked good, but I don’t eat gluten, so I couldn’t say.Service was super friendly. There is a nice outside seating area, as well as a wine room with seating that was more private. The place was very clean, and cool. There were UTVs and ATV’s driving around. Lots of fishing boats in the area. There are several tables for families. The fully stocked bar did make some nice drinks. You could try the wine flights with a nice selection of wines. They are reasonable with the prices on those.They also have tequila and whiskey flights available if you are looking to find the perfect flavor for the night. Overall a unique find for the Castle Rock area.Parking: Paved parking that is firm underneath for kickstands. You can park a boat and trailer in the larger parking are without issues. Wheel chairs would not get stuck. The bar is handicapped accessible.Wheelchair accessibility: The bar is handicap accessible.

Wait Staff was excellent!Jalepeno sausage was delicious, as were my wife's fries!We both agreed the Mac n Cheese and Potato salad became tolerable after enough BBQ sauce. I realize everyone has different likes, so don't take my word for it. Please give them a try for yourself!

The service was prompt. The food was not even edible. I ordered the ribs beans and fries. My friend ordered pulled chicken with 2 sides. Ribs were almost raw and very fatty. Pulled chicken had globs of fat mixed in with the chicken. My friend picked the chicken out of the pile and ate a small portion but she didn't want to complain. I sent the ribs back to the kitchen and asked to have them removed from my bill. I stated i woukd pay for my 2 sides. The server said they would comp the ribs and I could order something of equal or lesser value from the menu. At this point I didnt want anything from this kitchen. The server insisted so I ordered the tacos. The tacos were the same fat blobs mixed into the chicken as what my friend had. At this point I just wanted to leave. I asked for the bill. I was charged for the tacos and 2 sides. I paid it and left. Disgusting food. Many other places on the lake with much better food. Avoid this restaurant if you're hungry!
