“Hosted my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary at the Stone Barn. Matt & Marcy were easy to work with and their staff did a great job being attentive to us. The pizza is delicious and the drink variety is good as well. Highly recommend going to dinner out there or hosting an event!”

“The breakfast was great the service not so much after the waitress brought me my breakfast she didn’t come back to see how it was or if I needed a coffee refill and then when I went to pay I stood at the register 5 minutes while one waitress was leaning over the counter on her cell phone and the waitress I had was in the back and finally noticed me through the window and came out I could see waiting if it was busy but there was only one guy at the counter and two other guys at a table”

“It’s funny, you never know what’s behind a door that you’ve driven by 1000 times. So I was told my friend that we should go down to JNJ‘s for some barbecue, we did it was closed. Months later we went for a ride on our bikes. Where to? J&J’s, we were mid afternoon so it wasn’t that busy. The place goes on forever. I don’t know how many rooms they have altogether. We had barbecue, good barbecue! I had a third of a rack of ribs, which looked like a half a rack or more with sides $13 so I think the place is fantastic. That would definitely go there again and again after that, and probably again after that.”

“Choosing Danzinger Vineyards for our wedding was the BEST decision we could have ever made! We got married there last July and couldn’t have imagined our day anywhere else. We were planning from out of state with no local family nearby (from Des Moines, IA and SE WI) and everything came together perfectly, even the smallest details! Paul and Madison were absolutely wonderful to work with and great communicators. There had been a wedding the night before and we were amazed at the quick turnaround — Madison handled it like a pro. Everything was ready for us to set up the next day!

A sweet personal touch: my husband spent the evening looking for a whiskey cup for his old fashioned (we managed to forget one and he wanted one instead of a plastic one) and Paul and Madison not only went and got him one, but they ordered some for future couples and guests too. They are amazingly responsive and genuinely care about every couple that had their wedding there, which is so incredibly special.

Our guests couldn’t stop raving — many said it was the most beautiful wedding they’d ever attended, and everyone loved the Alma/Wabasha area and staying at small rental properties so close to everyone else in Alma. It was truly our dream wedding and we wouldn't change a thing!”

“Wonderful st. Patrick’s Day party with live music by Steve and Irish bagpiper! Homemade corn beef, cabbage, mashed potatoes, carrots, and fresh bread. The food is always delicious here. Karen cooks the corn beef and the corn beef sandwiches are always delicious. Also love the fried potatoes. They also have daily specials. Thank you, Jake and Karen for another wonderful time!”

In addition, per usual they had a scrumptious martini that the bartender was so kind as to make into a smaller version for me . It was amazing! See a picture in the comment. “Our waitress Ashley was outstanding. Our meals were outstanding. Food was out at a reasonable rate. Overall cost of the meals were great while dinner came with two huge walleye fillets bloody Marys were good. Definitely a five-star restaurant. We will come back again if we get in the area.”
