We had a party of 11. The first 5 entrees to be delivered were ice cold. The entrees were sent back, but were barely warm when they came back out. No manager or staff came to apologize. The food was mediocre at best. Ribeye was tough with a lot of gristle. I really don’t recommend this restaurant.

Great place for a fine dining experience. Not cheap but not too expensive either. Menu changes daily but it has been excellent every time.

Lagniappe is an unassuming restaurant offering a fantastic dining experience. We walked in for a relatively late dinner on a Thursday night. The staff was cheerful and welcoming. It happened to be 1/2 price wine night, which was an added bonus! We started with a bottle of Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. The dinner menu had many unique options. After ordering, we were served fresh bread and "a little something extra." The scallops appetizer was done perfectly. The mains came with choice or soup or salad. Both soup options that night were delicious - curry chicken or clam chowder. By the time our mains came, I was pretty full. The presentation and flavors were top notch. My hubby had the duck breast and I had the Wagyu beef. No room for dessert, but I would have ordered the ice cream torte. Wonderful, cozy, intimate experience!

One of our favorite metro Milwaukee area restaurants. Dined here many times, and they rarely miss the mark. Portions are moderate in size as are the prices. Chef/owner is a restaurant culinary arts instructor at the local tech college. He tends to hire from his student body. Place is small in size so owner has good control over the operation. Service is always stellar and friendly. Dining room is small and comfortable without the loud acoustics of many other places. Small/well chosen wine list, with moderate prices as well. We like the food choices that are sometimes hard to find elsewhere, like veal, soft shell crab, duck. I don't typically order beef but love the teres major cut that is sometimes on the menu. For lunch, the Waygu beef burger is divine!

The steak Was out of this world-tender, seasoned perfectly. They even brought out gluten-free substitute for the bread to nibble on before dinner.

Amazing food and wine, recommend with reservations. Wait person needs to explain dishes and recommend wines. Would have ordered more with a wine pairing and dessert menu. Prix fixe menu would have been best with seasonal offerings.

This was with out a doubt the best meal of my life. Everything was perfect. We had scallops, halibut, venison, all cooked and seasoned to perfection. The service and ambience was top notch. For dessert we had an almond roasted pear .. incredible ! The evening was so great I took a copy of the menu to remind me how special of a night this was. From now on every time I am in Milwaukee I will arrange my schedule to make sure Lagniappe is a part of it. Just plain phenomenal. Thank you to chef Andy and all his employees for a remarkable experience.

Service was great, food was bland, not much taste. Had Escargot for appetizer, didn't have any zip. Same for the rest of dinner. My husband's fish was good.
