I emailed this business on 4/19/23 asking if they would be available for an event hosted on 6/24/23. They responded on 4/19/23 by saying “I believe we are. I think Derek's curbside grill and The Cookie Crate would both be a great fit. We will check tomorrow. Ps, we can do breakfast too.”I responded on 4/20/23 by saying “Sounds great!” And gave them as much info on the event as I could, then finished my message with “Please let me know what other information from me would be helpful. I look forward to hearing from you!”I received NO RESPONSE confirming if they were available, as they stated they needed to check. So a month later by 5/25/23, I had secured a food vendor elsewhere for our event.Then TWO MONTHS later, on 6/20/23, I received an email from AJ with this business stating, “We will be parking Friday night. Do you have electric for us to plug in? We are staying at a local hotel and we will open at 6am with breakfast and lunch.”So I immediately responded, “I hadn’t heard back from you on confirming if you would be available, so we did secure a different vendor. I’m sorry for the inconvenience and confusion.”By 6/21/23 (the next day) I had no response or acknowledgment from them via email, so I called and left a voicemail asking them to confirm they received my message that we had a different vendor and would not be able to use their services. I stated I was sorry for the misunderstanding and the inconvenience, but didn’t want them to waste their valuable time and effort. No response all week. At 7:30pm on 6/23/23 (the night before our event) they finally responded via email with, “We will be there, setup, and ready to serve by 6. Thank you”Immediately I again called and emailed asking for confirmation that we will not need their services. I also looked up both of the facebook pages for their businesses and messaged them there. No response overnight. At 8AM the next morning of our event on 6/24/23, they messaged me via facebook with, “We received your messages. I have been, in turn, messing with you. We, in fact, did respond. We even told you that we would serve breakfast. Your lack of professionalism is uncanny and perhaps some of the energy you have spent in this last week could have been spent in the process of hiring us. We are not a fly by night food truck as some are. I truly enjoyed returning the favor ?”This sad excuse for a business with a horrible lack of communication decided to retaliate against a potential customer by trying to make me panic thinking they were still coming to our event, when they failed to confirm if they were available in the first place. Like it was somehow my error??? And the sad part is, if they wanted our business and would have have responded back in April to confirm they were available, we definitely would have hired them!! Now I’m so glad we avoided this place. I would warn everyone to be cautious and avoid them. VERY unprofessional and unpleasant people. No communication and very immature.

?OMG THESE COOKIES ARE GOLD!!!☺️I'm gotta plan a trip to WI to get some more! Wow I'm glad I found their circular business card/schedule from the taste of Chicago! Otherwise these delicious cookies would've been a sweet memory lost to the dark channels of time. I desperately wish I could order some online I and everyone I know would be thier regular junkies, oh well maybe someday...
