This is classic Wisconsin tavern. The perch sandwiches were good, if a little heavy on the tartar. Fries are also quite good, but be sure to order them on the side, as they don't come with the sandwich. The Capital Amber on tap sported a little funk to the taste, possibly from lines needing a quick clean. Food was excellent. Service not so much. As soon as we sat down at the bar the bartender just said what do you want. I was taken back by that. I started to say a couple menus then I was about say our drinks but she interrupted me and said drinks kind of rudely. She made our drinks then started waiting on other customers. My husband and I stopped by on our road trip to pick up a truck. The menu was full of options! Maybe if I picked something else, it would have been better. The food was kind of bland, and everything was separate prices. So the drink (purchase each can separately), the side was a separate price from the sandwich..
