was really excited to try Ervs. my daughter and I and my friend and her daughter went there to do something festive for our girls. we got sat by a big party and they were very loud and obnoxious especially with children around. Our server came to the table 3 times throughout our 1 hour 45 min visit. For the price, service, and atmosphere I might as well just took my clan to a local dive bar for cheaper and better quality.

My yes is really a ? or maybe. We go to Erv's for Erv's Platter. It was $20. We missed a few months because of illness. We went there Thursday and ordered the platter which was now $22. We were both disappointed. The meat (tender cuts of beef and ribs) was not the same very tender and tasty meat. We both thought they lowered the quality of the meat. Also, they really cut back on the amount of onion straws. And for this lower quality and quantity we paid $2 more. I hope this was a fluke. We will give them one more try.

The fish fry dinner was the worst ever. The cod was dry and the breading soggy. The tartar sweet like sweet pickle relish. 1/2 piece of bread. Seriously for $20 cod dinner do better. I even sent it back hoping for something better and was served the same muck.

Lots of variety, unusual options, want to try them all. Will be back to try more and share with additional friends. Atmosphere is fun but seating is a bit close for my preference. Servers were energetic, attentive, and helpful.

Years ago 5 Stars! Then the children get greedy when Erv retires, everything went to crap. It’s gotten better the last few years due to Charcoal Grill across the street they had to step up their game. Just my opinion.

Great place with awesome atmosphere. Weight staff was attentive and nice. Food came out on reasonable time. I had the Red, White and blueberry bacon cheese burger. The combination really work. Cooked at the right doneness. I had non alcohol Arnold Palmer. My dinner date (wife) had fish fry half and half. I tasted both bake and fries and the were very good. I suggest the loaded onion soup that come with a fried bread stick. I cannot wait to take the rest of my family there. We will be back. Oh, nice selection of alcohol drinks as well. Great job guys!!

Stopped in for lunch. Beer battered cod was mushy. Club sandwich was average. Fries instead of onion rings had an upcharge. Soda was an off-brand or not mixed correctly. Fee for using a card to pay. Over $60 for lunch for 2.

The bartender seemed like she hated being there and rarely made eye contact with us and ghen was offended when we asked for our garnish in our bloody mary. Friday fish fry was bad… the beer batter on the cod was soggy and one piece of fish was still frozen on one end. Then, it took 20 minutes to get change from the payment of the bill. Not a good experience

I’ve been to Ervs Mug many times over the years. Service has always been very good - friendly, well paced and efficient. The food on the other hand can be a hit or miss. Unfortunately this past visit was definitely a miss. The only reason I gave it an average vs poor rating was because the service was excellent. I had the Philly Wrap - sliced beef, bell peppers, onions and cheese wrapped in a flour tortilla. The sandwich was big but totally lacking in flavor. It was blah and had no taste at all minimum the beef needed some seasoning. And was served so hot the tortilla had a gummy texture. For my side opted for a cup of soup - normally Ervs soups are very good. This was a beef barley soup in a tomato base broth. It was definitely a hearty soup but the tomato based tasted very acidic not at all a good taste. I gave up after a few spoonfuls. My dinner companion & I shared an order of their onion straws. These are always a winner. We got these as an appetizer (normally I get these as a side). Only issue is they came in a huge basket and was enough for 6 people. When you order these as a side you get significantly fewer but still enough to enjoy. Our bill (before tip) for two sandwiches (which included the cup of soup), onion straws and two soft drinks was $53. Overall it was the most disappointing meal I’ve had at Ervs.

Best Caesar salad I had anywhere yet. I think the dressing had to be homemade because it was delicious and however they grilled the chicken or what they grilled it in was to die for. The lettuce was fresh and of course the Pina colada did its job. My man had a half a rack of ribs which was very large along with onion strings which were piled a mile high & a special beer which he said was excellent.. The service was excellent and the pricing was a lot less than we thought. We live in West Allis but we will definitely make a trip back out here some Saturday soon.
