Hidden gem! This small mom-and-pop shop is one of the best restaurants in Milwaukee—maybe even all of Wisconsin. The food is out of this world. We ordered the Chicken Mandi and the Yemeni beans, and both were phenomenal. The owner—who is also the chef—is Yemeni and runs the restaurant himself, and you can taste the care in every bite. The mandi chicken and rice were smoky, deeply flavorful, and perfectly cooked; the meat fell off the bone. The beans are vegetarian and the best I’ve ever had, served with a drizzle of olive oil and warm, freshly baked Yemeni bread. We’ll gladly be back. Highly recommend.

Asked for a single combo of chicken and lamb Mandi which they did for extra $5. Very tasty grilled meats and rice. The other of us ordered chicken adqah with vegetables, also very good. Don’t miss the cheaper, non-buttered fried bread to go along with the meats or with the lentil soup.
