Stopped in for my first time for lunch, had the gyro. Food was good. The reason I cannot provide a higher rating is the odd experience I had. I wasn't given my credit back after paying but signed the receipts and left. When I realized, I turned around and went to the front desk. At the desk was the manager or maybe the owner and another gentleman who seats you. I let them know I wasn't given my card back and they went to grab the waitress. She said she would have given it back, however, I politely added that when im given my card it goes into my wallet. She walked away to look for it and the gentleman at the desk randomly opened the register and lifted the tray to pull out my card. While im grateful he had it, my question is why go to the waitress and make her worried if you knew you had it? Why wouldn't you have looked there in the first place? I said I didnt have my card and if thats where you place cards when found or whatnot, wouldn't you look there first? Seemed very odd and a waste of everyone's time.

I ordered a skillet breakfast skillet and there was barely any meat barely any cheese I mean it was dried yes it was warm the food but there was barely any meat on top and it was supposed to be enough meat on there I'm disappointed at that my bread it was a rye bread he was hard as a rock didn't come back and asked if you wanted more drinks the waiter barely came to check up on us I had to ask another waiter that's not our waiter for a refill my husband's fish dinner was terrible it was so much breading you could hardly see the fish and then it fell apart right away when he was trying to cut the fish all in all we are not going back it was terrible

My experience at Melrose Oak Creek in WI was extremely disappointing. The staff treated me poorly, acted sneaky, and gave off the feeling that they were trying to take advantage of people instead of helping them. Nothing felt straightforward or honest. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone based on how unprofessional and disrespectful they were

We happened to be driving by and saw that it was packed so decided to stop for breakfast. Everything we ordered was good. It reminded me of a Greek family restaurant. The coffee was very good. I also ordered some pastries that I saw on tiktok from here. Service was ok but not overtly friendly by any means.

Melrose is in the process of remodeling so the atmosphere wasn't the greatest. Service is always great and they have the BEST chicken and dumpling soup. I order the trough for lunch and it never disappoints. The portions are huge!
