Very happy. My daughter and I stopped by today for lunch on New Year's Eve @ 2pm. The young man bartender/cook was great. Steak bites-5 stars, Mozz Sticks (huge)-5stars, Patty Melt-4 stars. We will be back. Gotta love the gems off the beaten path.

Love Golden Lake Pub. Had our first date there. We go back regularly and have always had great service. Our bartender last night clearly didn’t want to be there. She never smiled, copped an attitude when she made a drink wrong then proceeded to complain to the cook that we asked for the correct drink. We brought 2 people with us who had never been there, and they said they won’t come back. It was dead during the packer game, and I believe she was the reason why.

We went for a fish fry, it took forever for our waitress to do anything for us. We waited almost an hour for our food. The people who walked in minutes before us ordered ate and left before we got our food delivered. We only ordered one fish fry and one appetizer. Drinks took far too long, especially because there were 3 bartenders working and the bar wasn’t that busy. My wife and I eat out 3 to 4 times a week, and I’ve worked in the bar/ restaurant business for several years full time, in my past. We know the difference between a good eating and drinking experience when we find one, unfortunately The Golden Lake Pub missed the mark by a long shot tonight. I Will say the fish was good, the fries were meh, and the steak bites were just as meh. When I walk into an establishment as a patron, I expect prompt service and when I don’t get it, I don’t return. Wish I could recommend this place, but I can’t.

Great fish fry in a classic Wisconsin bar setting (with a view of the lake!). I love a place that offers walleye AND bluegill. Go for the potato pancakes. They are so flavorful you don’t even need syrup or sauce!

Had the catch of the day for fish fry (walleye) it was phenomenal
Bartender Ashley was very nice. Food looks good online but our nachos the cheese was just shredded not melted & the tater tots cooked all the way through so that they were all fried crusty layer & no fluffy tater center. Insides super nice (newly remodeled) & looks out onto lake for beautiful view!
