Terrible service from a bartender named “Grace”. Watched us walk in, on a Friday night at 8:45, only five other people sitting at the bar, turned around and continued talking to the other employees for a solid five minutes before looking back at us sitting there with money out waiting for a drink. Acted like we were putting her out by ordering a vodka tonic. Said not one word to us, not even a smile. Totally ignored me when I said “excuse me” three times after waiting another five minutes after my first drink was gone. Finally my wife had to go around to the other side of the bar and let her know I was trying to get her attention while she gabbed with the other employees. Finally ordered the second drink and it was vodka and sprite, not tonic. She acted offended when I told her. Still never said one word. Is she mute? Lousy place, never again! Here’s a picture of her ignoring me while I write this review. Why on earth would any bar owner have their worst bartender work the best shift?

Golden Lake Pub is easily one of my favorite spots in the area! The service is outstanding and the food is excellent. Great atmosphere as well! Absolutely recommend giving it a try if you haven't already. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

We went there on a Friday and tried the grilled cajun style grouper, and it was amazing!! Fall apart tender, and just melts in your mouth, definitely worth stopping by!

We arrived and excited to eat at this little pub. It has a great view and was referred by someone. We arrived and sat down. There was only one waitress which we understood would need time to get to us for drinks. Another couple comes in and because she knows them took their order first. She finally came to us, explained “it’s just her bare with her”. Us-Ok got it. She took our drink order. A party of four came in. The waitress refills another glass for a customer. She delivers drinks to the couple that came in after us. Still no drinks. She starts preparing 3 more drinks. When I saw the liquor she picked up not being what I ordered. We decided to leave. Based upon arrival we should have been next in line. It’s clear she was getting the order for the party of four. It’s disheartening to see this in Oconomowoc. It’s a first bad service review I’ve left since moving from Atlanta. But note to the owners- the waitress needs to prioritize who comes in when. It’s not serving your friends first. You lost very good tipping customers tonight. Sorry but you get a one star. . .

I normally am not the type to make or post a negative review, but I'm still in disbelief over the absolute horrible service we had last night at GLP. It started when we asked for two pizzas. The bartender asked like we asked for the world and it was HUGE inconvenience to her. Then when they were done she very disgruntedly set them down on the table. Then we asked for drinks and were told she couldn't serve us any drinks because they close at 12 am-it was 10:50 pm. I've been to GLP for Friday fish fry and the service and food are great, but I was extremely disappointed in this girls work ethic and people skills or lack there of.

We arrived on a Sunday right before the grill closed down ...we were able place our order for a burger and chicken sandwich. The sandwiches with an order of Tator totts to share and a couple of beers made for a good end of weekend dinner.

Very happy. My daughter and I stopped by today for lunch on New Year's Eve @ 2pm. The young man bartender/cook was great. Steak bites-5 stars, Mozz Sticks (huge)-5stars, Patty Melt-4 stars. We will be back. Gotta love the gems off the beaten path.
This is a nice little country bar, off the beaten path. A good stop for a drink and bar snacks.

Love Golden Lake Pub. Had our first date there. We go back regularly and have always had great service. Our bartender last night clearly didn’t want to be there. She never smiled, copped an attitude when she made a drink wrong then proceeded to complain to the cook that we asked for the correct drink. We brought 2 people with us who had never been there, and they said they won’t come back. It was dead during the packer game, and I believe she was the reason why.

We went for a fish fry, it took forever for our waitress to do anything for us. We waited almost an hour for our food. The people who walked in minutes before us ordered ate and left before we got our food delivered. We only ordered one fish fry and one appetizer. Drinks took far too long, especially because there were 3 bartenders working and the bar wasn’t that busy. My wife and I eat out 3 to 4 times a week, and I’ve worked in the bar/ restaurant business for several years full time, in my past. We know the difference between a good eating and drinking experience when we find one, unfortunately The Golden Lake Pub missed the mark by a long shot tonight. I Will say the fish was good, the fries were meh, and the steak bites were just as meh. When I walk into an establishment as a patron, I expect prompt service and when I don’t get it, I don’t return. Wish I could recommend this place, but I can’t.
