We have lived in Oconomowoc for several years now and this place lives on the fact that they are the only Gelato in the near area. It was the go to place for my family but year after year the owner has clearly decided that it's quantity over quality both in service and flavor. How is it that year after year you raise your prices and decide that the customer experience doesn't matter. Like tonight I came in saw a flavor I'd never tried before asked for a sample and was denied. Of my kids were not there and looking forward to it I would have taken my money somewhere else. You wage making a profit on the fact that you are greedy. I spent $50 dollars in your establishment tonight on what maybe $10 in product at most. And like I said if my kids weren't w me.you would have lost out on that $50 sale. Not to mention in all.of my years coming to your establishment I've never seen the same employees which tells me that you care very little on how you treat them. For anyone reading this go back and look at the negative reviews that actual got posted the owner is nothing but responsive. Long story short today was the last day I spend money in your establishment and I urge others to do the same

This is our new family favorite! Amazing Italian gelato that tastes authentic. Great options if you are dairy free. The service is friendly and feels family run. It’s a great place to go and get amazing gelato and walk around the downtown.

After just returning from Rome a week earlier, we were on the hunt for authentic gelato like we had in Italy. Unfortunately, this was missing the delicious creaminess of the gelato we experienced at every gelato shop in Rome. We were always offered samples in Rome, and had I been allowed a sample of the gelato I chose, I would have chosen something else. I was also surprised there was no regular chocolate flavor. The hunt continues.

I don’t often leave online reviews but my first impression of this place was poor enough that I am taking the time to write this. My family and I stopped here this evening (our first time here) and the staff member asked us if we had been there before to which we replied no. My husband asked for a sample of one flavor and the staff member gave it. Then my young daughter asked for a sample of the same flavor and the staff member said “well, we can’t give too many samples,” thus denying a child a sample and turning away paying customers. The staff member seemed more interested in chatting with her coworker/friend than in serving customers. As a family in the food service and hospitality industry, we were frankly appalled and left without buying anything and probably won’t be back.

Love it here. One of my favorite stops when downtown Oconomowoc. Favorite flavor is the chocolate orange

I liked this place quite a bit. But then they stopped offering my favorite flavor. It was the only flavor I looked forward to. It's not a rare flavor. I've seen it at other gelato shops. I went there three times over the course of two weeks and it wasn't available any of those three times. So I have stopped going there.

Was looking forward to getting gelato from here on a nice Saturday afternoon. Got inside and they do not offer any samples for their 30+ flavors. What gelato place doesn’t give customers a minuscule spoon sample? Even Culver’s offers that. The flavors we guessed on didn’t taste very flavorful and what to be expected. Brownie flavor had ONE tiny brownie chunk in the whole cup after specifically requesting extra brownie pieces. Girl behind the counter unfriendly and unwelcoming. Also no napkins available in the whole ice cream joint. Just kind of disappointing.

Absolutely lovely little place for gelato! I got two small scoops, one coffee and one coconut. The coffee gelato was AMAZING, highly recommend. There were also some really interesting flavors (like apricot or ferrero rocher), but unfortunately they don’t let you try samples (which is the only downside). Overall though, I highly recommend! Great gelato, service, and atmosphere!

The cherry sorbet’s flavor is pure and natural, without any artificial aftertaste. It’s a refreshing palate cleanser that leaves you feeling invigorated. The perfect balance of tart and sweet makes it a refreshing and delightful treat.

Overall, the shop earns its 5-star rating because of its dedication to using high-quality ingredients, crafting authentic and bold flavors, and delivering a perfect texture in every scoop. The friendly atmosphere and impeccable service add to the experience. 10/10

Dietary restrictions: It seems to me that the employees and manager take allergens like gluten which 3 people in my family are allergic to and others like egg dairy and nuts. Employees handled it well when my brothers ordered a sorbet which is gluten free nut free dairy free and egg free which I am thrilled with.

Kid-friendliness: They have affordable baby size scoop rather than the small and have kid friendly flavors like m and m or Oreo.

As a parent of a child with an allergy I was very disappointed in this establishments awareness of allergens in their product. After waiting in line for ten minutes I asked the young girl behind the counter if a particular flavor had egg in it and she flat out states she didn’t know but there is printed sign at the door I can go look at. I would have to step out of line and wait an additional amount of time to order gelato in order to do this. This is ridiculous. Allergies can be life threatening and the employees that are serving a food product should be aware of allergen information and able to answer questions. Would not recommend and will not be returning again based upon this experience. FYI the chocolate, m&m, and Oreo flavors don’t have eggs in them.
