We were greeted warmly on a busy Friday fish fry night. The service was great and my pan-seared walleye was delicious. The clam chowder was really good too. It was a bit crowded but not bad. The prices are fair and the wait staff are all courteous. I recommend this place highly for it's great service and good food! The marbled rye bread or butter was too salty for me. Admire the Wizard of Oz theme out in the park next to the place.

WOW!!! What a positive lunch experience. Stopped to eat and was welcomed by the hostess/ bartender with big smiles. EXCELLENT menu. A real porkchop sandwitch for 9.00!!! Great burgers starting for 8.00. With drinks and 20% tip 4 guys got out for 15.00 each. We will be backhand you should stop in.

Had take out from Grill 164, first time eating there. The perch was excellent and the add-on piece of cod was very good as well. The wife liked her burger, too. Food was ready well before the time I was given, which was greatly appreciated. While waiting, noticed a very good selection of bourbon & whiskey behind the bar. We will be back!

The pan fried lake perch was delicious. Service was prompt and on prompt and on point. Will have to stop in again and try something other than the fish fry.

Packed for a Tuesday evening. The service was challenged but successfully rose to the occasion! The bartender and manager tended to the full bar as well as serving all tables!

Very rarely do I comment or leave a review. This place was awful! Owner was a nice bartender/Server, which is ‘why.’ I’m giving the 3 stars. Probably another business owner struggling (with Bidenomics)! Noooo Wisconsin craft beer offered. Really? The food was absolutely disgusting! Frozen cheese curds… in Wisconsin?! The caprese salad will get forgiveness, only because it is not an Italian restaurant — soggy soaked bread, with old tomatoes. Egads! Being in Wisconsin, one would expect a big juicy burger. Ugh. Yuck. I pretended I ate it. They’ll find it stuffed on the side of the outdated booth, wrapped in a napkin. Old lettuce accompanied with a thin sliced tomato, no onion offered, not mustard! The Cole slaw and potato salad was probably bargain stuff from a grocery store. Daysssss old. Diet coke was flat, too. Nope! Nope! Nope! The restrooms were disgustingly dirty, too. Paper towel out of use.
The food here is fantastic! I had the jumbo shrimp and it was great. The batter was light and crispy, not greasy at all, allowing me to really taste the shrimp.
The clam chowder was nice and fresh, the base was lighter, not such a heavy cream. You can taste the clams in every spoonful.
And everyone was so nice. The bartender greeted us as we walked in the door, and the service at our table was attentive without interrupting too often.
We look forward to dining here again at Grill 164.

Oconomowoc belongs in Door County! Place was very busy and low on servers. Food was fine, not exceptional, but good, common bar food menu with the exception of some higher end selections like prime rib. We were jammed in a corner table next to a party of 10, server had a hard time getting around us to get to the large group. But despite being super busy and low on help, food came to the table fast and prepared well, and the servers did a fantastic job with this. It was unclear where to check in or where the hostess station was when you first enter, signage would help that. Took a while to get the check but not a big deal. Overall a good experience and would go back.
