Mullen's Dairy Bar - Oconomowoc

Beautiful spot right on the lake. A lot of seats and tables, I'm pretty sure are provided by Oconomowoc. Nonetheless, they are very lucky to have this location because based on their mediocre tasting ice cream treats any other location unlike this might not keep them in business. From our experiences there we have usually had the younger generation taking and preparing our order. Depends who makes your order...one might think two Oreos is enough to blend in a Large shake, and then another might think 10 Oreos work out better in a Large shake. We have had that happen and ended up having one of them remade(bet you can't guess which one).
In my opinion, if there was consistency with the amount of toppings they put in your shake or Sundae I wouldn't be so hard on the review in this area.
I do suggest you try them out though. They have a lot of FANTASTIC FLAVORS!

Stopped by tonight on our way to 'Bands at the Beach' and got the turtle sundae. Cost was $8 for a regular size (asked if I wanted small or regular) and it was amazing. Large scoop of vanilla ice cream with tons of chocolate and caramel syrup and pecans topped with whipped cream and a cherry. It sure hit the spot on a warm evening. Service was great. Will be back again!

Delicious Sundaes!!! After a walk around town and a beautiful sunset, it was the perfect ending to the evening! I had a Turtle Sundae, and my husband had a Butter Pecan Caramel Sundae!

I really love their cookie sandwiches but every other time I get one the cookies are burnt. I'll update if they improve.

the manager is crazy rude!! Get it together..I dont even want to bring my younger children there with the shirts that she wears.

Decent ice cream. Great venue. However the spider infestation near the window is quite disturbing. They were falling down the take out window and wall.

Mullen’s ice cream is rich, creamy and flavorful. Service is pleasant and quick. The long lines indicate the excellent quality that people are willing to be patient for. Even though the lines appear long, they move quickly. The atmosphere surrounding Mullen’s Dairy Bar is joyful and family friendly as it is right next to the Oconomowoc boardwalk. The ice cream is priced on point. We have returned again and again.
