The Hideaway Bar & Grill

First time at the bar but had to leave after the people next to me were constantly vaping didn’t realize that was allowed.

We went to the restaurant for my daughter’s bday, which she requested. The 6 of us ordered Diet Coke and ice tea. The meal took 1 hour and 35 minutes to be delivered, and we were never told that “the kitchen is backed up”. We would have gone elsewhere. After 40 minutes the waitress asked “would you like a refill? And brought them out. After another 40 minutes, she offered us another refill and said “the food will be up shortly”. Finally another guy brought out our 2 spaghetti dinners. I ordered meat sauce. I asked him “which one is the meat sauce?” He said ‘sorry I don’t know’, left the plates and walked away. I ordered a meatball which was covered in sauce. One bite revealed the entire outside was black. I showed it to my waitress and she offered to remake it. I said no, as we had already been at the restaurant for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Then the bill came. She charged us $3/soda and ice tea. $12 x 6 people was $72 for soda and ice tea. Waitress never took the meatball off the receipt when I showed it to her, and I had left the remainder uneaten on the plate. The spaghetti was absolutely terrible (sauce was out of a cheap jar), didn’t get what I ordered, and meatball looked like a round hockey puck on the outside. I called twice to speak with the manager, but he/she wasn’t available. If you want to have a cocktail on the lake, fine. But 100% stay away from the food. I will never return to the Hide Away restaurant. Food is absolutely awful.

We rode the Harleys 100 miles to eat at this location, we were not disappointed. Great food, great service, easy pay and check out.
Drive down the hill to park. It’s a tough walk back up the hill for older folks. Great atmosphere.

It really is a hideaway! We almost thought we were in the wrong place glad we found it. We ate out with the pups nice area right by the water. No complaints woth the food liked everything we ordered. It was really busy when we went but food came out at a good pace. Our waitress forgot about us a bit but mostly had to wait on getting the check.

If you want to wait well over an hour for your food, not get checked on by your server, and then get lukewarm average food, this is the place for you. Bad coffee too. Even had find my own creamer.

Came on a Friday and in my mind wasn’t crazy busy but definitely not empty. Food was meh at best. We had the fish fry and wish we didn’t. First off my husband got the wrong order which they fixed after about 10 minutes. Our requested drink refills to over 15 minutes just for a soda and a water. Neither of us wanted to finish our food so we sat there for about 15 minutes trying to get attention of our waitress for the check but continued to be ignored. Overall we will most likely not be back and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
