It’s where my son, Joseph Betz, played his first gig with me at 6 years of age! He’s switched to bass now, but he is still a brilliant drummer today:) We love Whelan’s for SO many reasons:) They serve King Jesus, so it will go well for them. Thank you to everyone at Whelan’s who have loved me and my children well over the years! I pray a special blessing over you in this moment… ❤️

Great place to go for meeting friends, lots of seating upstairs, very kind staff. An Oconomowoc staple, for sure! They’ve got a lot of board games upstairs if you so wish to make use of them, too

Good coffee and biscotti. Also had a milkshake and it was pretty good.

Great coffee shop with chocolate shop ice cream as a fun addition, they even have a selection of fun mini ice cream sandwiches which are great for kids! Parking is a challenge as you will either need to park directly behind or across the street in local parking lots. Pricing is reasonable but coffee drinks aren’t very strong on the coffee flavor. Plenty of seating and space to spread out with a 2nd level.

My husband and I have come here twice now. Best mocha he's ever had. I loved my Matcha. Best mint brownie I've ever had. He's enjoyed a couple different ice cream sandwiches. We love the atmosphere. We especially love the later hours: it's hard finding quiet coffee spots open later! We're not bar people, we're coffee house people and YES enjoy coffee late!
I do have one complaint, however. That bathroom is seriously gross! The walls are gross. The sink is gross. There's a fake plant with 3 years of dust on it touching my knee when I'm sitting on the toilet. It's only one tiny bathroom and dirtier than a Mobile gas station. I just hope this isn't an indication of cleanliness from where the food is coming from.

I love the coffee, the friendly faces, the lounge upstairs, everything! Our family loves Whelans!

Loved this place. So quiet and relaxing. Got the Scarecrow sandwich, delicious. Barista recommended the Carmel Cream Latte, that was also delicious. The Hawaiian smoothie was the perfect dessert for me, lots of mango and coconut. Will have to stop at this place again.

If you’re in Oconomowoc I highly recommend Whelan’s! If you’re like me and truly, truly enjoy high quality coffee then this is the go-to place! I’ve tried other coffee shops in the area and they all fell flat in comparison. From the friendly staff (Laurel and Julie), to the selection of baked goods and ice cream, to the “kick back and relax” hometown vibe, Whelan’s is truly a diamond in the rough!
