Trendy little bistro set in the heart of Oregon. The decor was elegant and made use of antique features. The place had a decent crowd but service was prompt. The young lady who took care of us was friendly, professional and patient as we took time to peruse the menu. The food was decent, we did enjoy what we ordered. Our children who are usually very picky eaters absolutely loved it. This was an absolute bonus for us as we rarely watch them finish their food. I spoke briefly with a guy who was maybe the manager or perhaps the owner, he really took pride in the place. All in all we had a great experience

If I had thought to review this restaurant in November, I would've given it 5 stars, and is the reason I chose this restaurant to invite our family to celebrate my husband's 69th birthday. He has terminal cancer so this may have been his last. Even though the staff had prepared the seating to my request, the service and food were not up to what we had expected. I ordered the walleye, as I had last November, and I got just one piece of walleye instead of 2. According to the others, the steaks were well prepared, the sides were much less than expected. For the squash, 3 rings of about 1/2" width were provided. The loaded potatoes had a minor slash in the top with the load piled on top rather than splitting the potatoes and loading them. None of the drinks -- all 7 -- were not good. The Honey Boo Boo was way too tart for both my husband and our 17-year-old granddaughter. The two Ready Set Go cocktails were awful (and those 2 drinkers are tolerant of various mixes). My son ordered a cherry coke but was served coke with grenadine which he didn't like. I ordered my usual go-to Brandy Old Fashioned Sweet with olives -- it wasn't muddled and didn't have olives. The lone server, a young man who tried his very best and was very accommodating and kind, was much overworked and not helped. We may return since I was told by 2 who ordered hamburgers, that they were very good and the fries were plentiful, but for the more expensive dishes and, of course, the drinks . . . I'm hesitant. In fact, I feel apologetic for having invited my family but, since I paid the entire bill, I'm guessing they chalked it up to the restaurant and will, most likely, not revisit.

Fist time at this establishment and was impressed with the service and quality of fare! Chill ambiance, bottomless mimosas, and will definitely visit again. Nod to Matt for his dry, rapier wit and excellent service.

This is a 3.5 star review. Lovely interior and decor. Stopped in for brunch. Nice wisco menu and fast service. Large interior; plenty of tables and comfy booths. Food is not mind blowing but good and fresh. They don’t have various coffee choices or espresso; don’t Ming a good cup of regular coffee but would have been nice to have other choices. There is free parking nearby. They accommodate gluten free. Enjoyed it, would go back to try out their dinner and cocktails.

The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere was wonderful. However - I had a gift certificate from the Wisconsin Restaurant Assoc that I wanted to use. I called the Wis Restaurant Assoc this morning - today - and they verified that Ready Set was a member and I could use my certificate. Imagine my surprise, when at the restaurant they said they weren't a member and I couldn't use the gift certificate. So somewhere there is a communication breakdown. Who is at fault? Hmmmm something to be fixed.

I came for a birthday dinner, second time in here. Our server was wonderful, very sweet and helpful woman. Always had water/drinks and constantly asked how we were all doing. My issue is with price to food value. Ordered the sirloin (priced at $30) with two sides. Sirloin was completely pink and yet somehow completely rubbery and chewy. The fries were great, as was the ready set sauce (tastes like mayo and ketchup mixed). Another issue I had was with the broccolini I was served- completely crunchy as if only cooked for a couple of seconds and it was cool to the touch. One final issue I had was the flaky salt being extremely large- a strange complaint I know, but I ended up getting a piece the size of my fingernail and it cut into the roof of my mouth. All in all, price was terrible for the quality and care of the food served, but the atmosphere and service was wonderful.

The prime medallion and meatball sandwich were delicious. I found the calamari to be over battered. I can't recommend the squash side. It tasted like it had been grilled in old grease. Over all good food and great service. I'd go back.Kid-friendliness: Lots of kids! Very kid friendly.

Met 2 friends here this evening and it was wonderful! Such a welcoming place to walk into. Our server was amazing and the food was fantastic. One had pizza (gluten free), one had pasta and I had the wedge salad and the mushroom risotto. Portions were generous and the prices were so reasonable! I don’t live close by but my friend who does says she can’t wait to return. And just one more shout out to our server- she rocked.

Ate at the Ready Set on 12/15 with a friend before a concert. Food and service was top notch, and even though we had some issues getting the food out in time for us to make it to the concert, management was super accommodating and took great care of us to make sure we had our meal in time. Will definitely be back!
