The pizza was great but the wait for it was LONG. We waited over an hour for our food. We had to wait to get seated, waited for a waitress to get our drinks, order and then waited for our food. By the time we ate it was near a 1.5- 2 hour wait. We even tried to avoid a Friday night.

It took us about 30-35 minutes to get our pizza. Way too long! Luckily we we weren't under a huge time crunch to get on the road back to the Twin Cities from Chicago. It was a very long wait but at least the pizza was tasty.

I had eagerly anticipated my visit to Fosters Fireside, drawn in by its reputation and the glowing recommendations I’d heard. However, what was meant to be a delightful dining experience quickly turned into a frustrating ordeal. From the moment we were seated, my party was met with an astonishing level of inattentiveness and poor service.
We arrived Saturday evening around 6pm and were greeted by a friendly young gentleman at the counter. He informed us it would be a 15-minute wait, which was to be expected judging from the amount of people there.
Upon being seated, it was apparent that they were running behind. We were greeted by our waitress and had ordered our food. Fast forward approximately 45-50 minutes, we still did not have our food and our waitress had only been back to our table once to ask us if we needed anything. No apologies for the delay or anything. I went to the register and asked the young lady there how much longer we would be waiting for our food since it had been nearly an hour. The response I received was without any empathy. She told me that I should expect this length of time for being a busy weekend night and that wood fired pizza takes approximately 50 minutes. I told her if that was truly the case then they should be telling that to customers as they enter to give them a heads up (or put it on their website or menu?). Her response? "I mean we can do that, but you should just know that it's going to take that long." She then said that she would check with the kitchen and let us know how much longer it would be. Out of all the wood fired pizza places I have been to; it has never taken more than 15-20 minutes after the pizza has been put in.
What happened next was appalling and apparent that customer service is not a top priority. After a few minutes, the same individual came to our table and very loudly explained how we should expect this length of time and that it would be another 10-15 minutes. She then said she can either cash us out (for water?) or we can wait. We chose to wait since we were hungry. All eyes were on our table and we were talked to as if we were inconveniencing them in front of the whole restaurant. Mind you, the part of the restaurant that we were in was quiet, so there was no need to yell and a member of our party was 80+ years old. After an additional 30 minutes of having no food, we finally made the decision to leave as no one had come back to our table and it was apparent that we were not going to get any more updates. Upon leaving, I stopped our waitress and informed her that we would be leaving since it has taken an hour and a half with no food. Her response was without empathy or an apology rather, “your pizzas just went in!” I told her to keep them and we would be going elsewhere.
Mind you, I had heard a few employees saying they were working on “the big order” so I can understand being behind, however, the appalling behavior and lack of empathy is what stuck with me.
There is an obvious lack of time management and customer service in this establishment. What was a dining experience I was looking forward to turned into the worst one I have ever had.

A wonderful spot, the staff do a great job making sure each customer is having a great time. The food is phenomenal but my favorite is the seasonal specials. You can tell they take time into making something g fun and unique you can’t get anywhere else. This months featured dessert (apple cheesecake flatbread) is by far the best and gives you all the warm fuzzies.
Best wood fired pizza! My family and I ate there today, ordered an appetizer, pizzas and dessert. Everything was phenomenal, including their cauliflower crust! Service was amazing and fast and even my children loved it! We found our new pizza place. 100% worth the drive from Eau Claire.

I was pleasantly surprised by their Big Mac pizza, which quickly became my favorite. This unique creation captures all the flavors of a classic Big Mac on a crispy, wood-fired crust. Each bite is a delicious blend of seasoned beef, melted cheese, pickles, lettuce, and special sauce.
