There isn't enough words to describe how amazing it is here.
My mom and I stopped here at 10:30 am waited 10 min for menu, tried ordering lunch at 10:45 she strictly and rudely said you can't have lunch till after 12. She walked away. I got her attention to tell her we will go elsewhere due to wanting lunch. My mom and I come here often and I've got lunch at 10am. She said well u have to pay for sodas that we didn't even touch. 6.25 for 2 sodas. We are the 2 ladies that tip a 50.00 bill Everytime no matter the bill price because we always got warm welcoming employees. Sad to say we will now only go to Babcock Cafe to eat.
Very busy not enough wait staff and I never got a coffee refill but I had the fish fry and it was excellent when it came.
Solid breakfast. Lucky to be in town and go on a Sunday with all you can eat pancakes. I liked the regular ones over the potato ones which were more like huge hash brown patties over a latke style like I was expecting. Will be coming back for breakfast next time in the area.
Small town friendly. Great food, plenty of it, and reasonable prices. You won't leave hungry.
Best corned beef hash, I have ever had. It has become my go to when I order here.
Great small town atmosphere, they use several local suppliers to provide great food.
Proud supporters of their community.
If you are looking for a great meal stop by Paulie's Diner.
Usually when my boyfriend and I come here on our Friday’s, the service is wonderful! Tonight, on the other hand, was a different story. I did not even get the girls name because of how short she was with me. I felt very judged by her attitude, along with feeling disappointed by the lack of service she gave us. When I asked for lemons, she didn’t say anything and slid them on the table and walked away. I’ve had a few conversations with Paulie, and this was not the service I expected. Paulie is a wonderful guy, and so are most of the servers. Being that it was a Friday night was no excuse for the attitude, no “you’re welcome” “have a good night” or anything. When talking to his wife about the situation I heard a different girl yell “What’d they say?” followed by her response “I’ll tell you later”. Disappointing. I would love to know the girls name so I can include it in here…
My wife ordered an omelet and I ordered the chicken fried steak with sausage gravy. The omelet was marvelous as the wife gave me bites and still had some to take home. The chicken fried steak was without a doubt a culinary award winning combination. I cleaned the plate short of licking it. If you ever get to Pittsville Paulie will leave you with a life long impression with his gravy.
This is a cute hometown restaurant run by husband and wife. Great service and good food. I had the lasagna special and my husband had the mushroom burger, both were excellent. We will be back
