Sweet Basil Reviews
I was hoping to enjoy a night out with a friend and use a gift card I received. We have a drink and an appetizer that was very salty.
I gave her the gift card to pay. She came back and told me that the gift card was issued under the previous owner and they will not honor it. The gift card even has Sweet Basil printed on the front! I feel this is just bad customer service and will not go back.
The food is absolutely horrible and hardly Italian. The prices are a complete joke. I have never been so appalled at the quality of food you get for the price. I took my family from out of town there because it seemed like a nice place and the menu looked decent, but I was completely embarrassed by the Chuck E. Cheese quality of food they serve. Absolutely horrendous.
Last night my husband ordered the filet mignon medium rare, more on the rare side. It was outstanding! Done perfectly and flavorful. He savored each mouthful. I ordered the special of the day, pollock in a creamy tomato basil sauce. Mmm good. Definitely coming back again.

Sweet Basil is a restaurant that serves a variety of dishes, including crispy Brussel sprouts, bruschetta, and shrimp scampi. The food is generally described as "very good" and "amazing," with some exceptions. The service is also a mixed bag, with some reviewers praising their waitress, Hannah, for being "truly wonderful," while others had a negative experience with their server's mistake with the entree order.
One reviewer notes that the prices are a bit high, particularly for the shrimp scampi, which is described as a small serving of Angel hair pasta with 6 shrimps for $31.00. Another reviewer had mixed experiences with the glazed salmon, which was perfect the first time but less flavorful and more fishy the second time.
The atmosphere is lively, with a live band performing on stage. However, one reviewer notes that the seating arrangement can be distracting for both the performers and the customers. Despite some inconsistencies, Sweet Basil seems to have a loyal customer base, with one reviewer stating that they will definitely be back.
