La Tolteca Authentic Mexican Cuisine

I had the chicken enchiladas and rice. Serving size was good, service was fast, and food above average. My wife had the taco salad, the size was smaller than typical, and the flavor was somewhat bland, Chips and salsa were very good. Chips were quite thick and crisp. Salsa was on the mild side, but thick and hearty. Margaritas were excellent. We shared the large blended lime. It was good to the last drop and a very solid value @ $12.00. Table and booth seating available.

8/1/2024 ordered their enchilada supreme... so gross. They were mostly filled with nasty, grisly vegetable rhine. Enchiladaas are not supposed to be crunchy.

We went into the restaurant on Tuesday July 30, and got seated. We come often. We watched three other tables get seated after us, two across from us and one right behind us. All of those tables got a server and orders in before we even got a server. We waited 25 minutes and still no server. We got up and left and no employees even noticed or cared as we were leaving. We went to another Mexican restaurant in Portage that we had never been to because we always go here. The other restaurant had great service, great food and reasonable prices. I'm afraid La Tolteca has lost our business.
