I can't give an honest review of The Depot. We stopped by at 5pm on a Sunday in January and they were closed. I was told later that they are open during the summer and on some other weekends. Just commenting because Google Maps showed they were open.

We are in town for our 25th wedding anniversary and noticed this place down by the river after dinner in town. Very cool place with a lot of history. Wish I'd known it was there sooner because we would have had dinner there. The lady served us( who also the owner) was awesome. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the place and surrounding buildings. Definitely worth the stop, will be back!Also prices are very reasonable especially for these times.

This is a family friendly bar. The food is sandwiches or appetizers. The person who served us was excellent. She was helpful in guiding out menu choices. Prices were good

On a Sunday drive from Dubuque, stopped along the river in Prairie du Chien on Saint Feriole Island. To our pleasant surprise, we found the Depot. It was such a beautiful day we all got Blood Marys (very good) and some Spotted Cow, sat outside on their patio and watched the boats go by on the river and some folks having a carriage ride around the island. One of the gang also had their version of McMuffin that went very well with the Bloody Mary. The other food going by for others looked good - especially the crinkle fries. We had to order at the bar, but wait staff brought food out to folks on the patio.

Brat with onions and cabbage, the best ever. No need to get derailed, the service is friendly and will remember you when you return. Great view of the Mississippi River from inside and on patio.

Absolutely fantastic place to visit! Relaxing view of the Mississippi River from the outside deck, fun atmosphere and great view from inside the bar as well. Super friendly staff and great food. Extra bonus is live music across the street on Thursday evenings in the summer. It can get busy on the weekends but no worries with that - great a chance to enjoy the wonderful scenery while you wait. We like to get a bucket of beer so our drinks are always cold and ready when we are! Highly recommended when visiting Prairie du Chien in the late spring, summer, and early fall.
