On a Sunday drive from Dubuque, stopped along the river in Prairie du Chien on Saint Feriole Island. To our pleasant surprise, we found the Depot. It was such a beautiful day we all got Blood Marys (very good) and some Spotted Cow, sat outside on their patio and watched the boats go by on the river and some folks having a carriage ride around the island. Brat with onions and cabbage, the best ever. No need to get derailed, the service is friendly and will remember you when you return. Great view of the Mississippi River from inside and on patio.

We are in town for our 25th wedding anniversary and noticed this place down by the river after dinner in town. Very cool place with a lot of history. Wish I'd known it was there sooner because we would have had dinner there. The lady served us( who also the owner) was awesome. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the place and surrounding buildings. Definitely worth the stop, will be back!Also prices are very reasonable especially for these times.
