We had 4 couples coming to the area for UTV'ing. We were not notified until 2 days before our stay the supper club/bar were not open and hadn't been for months. That was one main reason we were staying there. When we arrived it looked like a ghost town. The grass was very overgrown, tree branches down all over and even a large pine tree had blown over and was blocking the lake view/access. There IS also a pickup truck backed up to the bar that previously was filled with old bags full of garbage that the animals had gotten into and the months old garbage was strewn across the parking lot...it was a disgrace. Upon arrival the rooms were adequate. After speaking with the locals, ...the management walked away in Q1 without paying employees of the bar/restaurant along with the maintenance/cleaning staff. Had we known this we would of never stayed at a lodge that takes advantage of it's employees and also charges your credit card the minute you book your stay (even though we booked several months in advance).Knowing what we know now....that is why they take your money immediately....they aren't paying their maintenance/cleaning staff or their taxes and are about to lose it. Notice no recent reviews....now I know why. DO NOT STAY HERE! They do not deserve your hard earned money.

My wife and I stayed for a long weekend of sledding. Checking in at the bar on Friday early afternoon, it was a little busy. Only had 1 person serving bar and restaurant and it took forever. Didn't help that she made jokes about people waiting. Finally got into room which had 1 towel for 2 people to share, and bathroom was not very clean. Toilet seat was also falling off. Unfortunately, I gave this place a second chance, having stayed previously maybe 7 years ago. Won't get a third.

Owners response makes me now feel like they must not clean the rooms after check out…gross. This place has had rooms for snowmobilers all year because the new owner really doesn’t like that type of people. Finally get good snow and she over books her rooms making guests that booked their stay before the good snow pack up at 9:30 pm and find another hotel to stay in. Sorry excuse to eat or stay. Old owners were nothing like this lady. Stay away.

Unfortunately this place is not what it used to be. My brother booked rooms there for snowmobiling before they even had a big snow storm. This place has had rooms all season and she over books making the guest she was supposed to lodge drive to ironwood to find a new room. Will not support this business again summer or winter. I’m sure it’s not the owners fault either. She’s perfect.

Food was good and service was fairly fast. They seemed short staffed but handled it well. I would recommend

Stopped here with a group snowmobiling. Food was amazing. KRISTEN was our bartender and she is awesome.

We had been to a different restaurant the night before and were quite disappointed. Skyview more than made up for our previous experience elsewhere. Our salmon dip was delish, the pork chop was perfectly cooked and we had some tasty drinks as well. Our service was exemplary even amidst obvious staff shortages. We will be back and appreciate everything about your establishment!

Went to skyview tonight for the first time sense the new owners have taken over. Let’s start by stating that I am a picky eater and don’t speak highly of many restaurants. They had a one my show tonight running the front and back of the house. The food was to die for the drinks were made just right and the service was awesome. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in the area. We will definitely be back more often!

This is a great place! We had the prime rib and chicken marsala which were both excellent. Great service and food and, the wood burning fireplace provided the warm and cozy atmosphere we were looking for. Highly recommend!!

Amazing hand cut prime rib special that was on Saturday. Not sure if it is every Saturday or if I lucked out, but I couldn't have asked for a better prime rib. Husband had a delicious walleye dinner that was also cooked to perfection.

Still a great place to stay and visit, but not if your a fisherman/Hunter.

This place is a TOTAL gem!!! We had a wonderful brunch complete with delicious bloody marys. Best breakfast tacos I've ever had in my life. Can't wait to go back I highly recommend you give this place a try you won't regret it

Staff nice, but food was way overpriced for the quality. Steak and broiled cod bland. $16 for a cod filet that was maybe 5 oz. Their family recipe for the clam chowder included a lot of dill and bacon- thought I was eating dip. Also, a bit different to get used to if you're used to traditional chowder.

This is the second time we went to sky view under new management and both times my meal was terrible! Last weekend the ribs looked like they had been under a heat lamp for days very dry no sauce

Went on a Tuesday without a reservation no problem - it may be recommended on the weekend. Nice bartender/day cook/host/server. Give it a shot!
