We walked in on a Sunday morning and was told to take any table we wanted so we picked the table across for the bar. There was only 5 people eating. A lady came and brought us water and quickly walked away without even asking if we wanted something drink like coffee. We then waited about 10 minutes for the server to come back as we could see she was behind the bar, but never looks at us. I pulled $2 out and set it on the table and we walked out do to poor service. My wife and I will unfortunately not be going back.

Felt terrible for the server.
We came to a packed indoor area with only outdoor seating, even though the online reservation option had nearly every time slot available. Not fair for the server whatsoever.
A couple of women were there before us with only menus. We received our menus, waited awhile, and neither we or the other ladies were waited on, so we left.
Clearly they have no way to handle Sunday brunch rush.
Did I mention how I felt terrible for the server?
I hope she gets paid well for the prices.

Service was absolutely poor. We sat for along time before the server came to offer coffee or other beverages. Then we sat another 20 min for her to take our order. Food finally arrived cold. EXPENSIVE! 3 ppl cost 95.00. Not worth it.

It can get busy. And not for nothing. The food is delicious and the people are nice. I say give it a chance.

Food was great! Very tasteful and filling. The service was subpar. One server was working extremely hard and attentive. The other waitress seemed to be in a bad mood. My wife had ordered a bloody mary and the cheese cube was slightly moldy. We told the other worker (not our actual waitress who was working her tail off) and she seemed to be inconvenienced by me telling her about the moldy cheese. She didn't even apologize or offer to remake my wife's bloody mary. Other than the experience with the blonde waitress the experience was good and the food was very tasteful.

First time I have been here. I knew the owner 40 years ago when we played soccer together. Everyone was very pleased with the wonderful dishes. Highly recommend that you come and experience this little gem!

The food is always delicious. I like the outdoor dog friendly seating. The service though has declined more. They seem to be understaffed and the staff isn't trained well. There were 2 servers including the bar tender. Only one server was great. I stood around waiting to be seated. No greeting or acknowledgement. Then waited more for the table to be cleaned.

Plates look delicious but they were definitely overcooked. Ordered the eggs Benedict, eggs were over hard and the hollandaise was dried to the eggs. Not sure how long those eggs were sitting around before being served. The waitress was nice but was very forgetful. Don’t be fooled by how the food looks.

We had a great meal here. The food and drinks were excellent, and the staff were very kind to us. This is the best place to eat in Racine!

We specifically picked this restaurant bc of all the gf options. Unfortunately, almost every item we ordered, they were out of. The server was very apologetic and very kind but we left disappointed. The upcharges were a lot too. My husband's breakfast burrito had an uncharge to include an egg.
I did not say that everything on the menu was unavailable, I stated that the options that we chose were unavailable. So because there was no gluten free bread available, the sandwiches were not really an option. Also, the biscuits and gravy was not an option. Our server asked us if instead of the toast option (since again none was available) if we wanted a cornbread muffin which was great except I was unaware there would be an upcharge for this. I completely understand a late shipment (totally out of your control) but for the sake of total transparency it would have been nice to have known upfront that there where items unavailable (prior to ordering) and the substitutes would be an upcharge. I doubt we will be returning or recommending this restaurant.

Disappointing experience. I ordered biscuits and gravy and when I got home and opened the container the food had a burnt smell and taste as if maybe the gravy had started to burn in the pot it came from. I was charged an additional service $2.35 fee for take out, (never heard of a fee for takeout) which I wasn’t told about when I placed my order over the phone, and was told it was for the container and utensils of which I didn’t get any. I really should have taken the food back. I’ve always had good food at Blue Bear in the past, this was an expensive breakfast that was NOT good at all! Should have ate at home!

Extremely long wait times. Servers are doing there best but extremely under staffed. Brunch took over an hour to make it to the table after order.

Two of us ordered brunch for pickup via DoorDash. I waited 30 minutes past pickup time for my order. As I waited I observed that the restaurant wasn’t crowded but understaffed. Three parties that were seated indoors were waiting to order, or to receive their food. Staff had to serve tables inside as well as outside so I was ignored for about 10 minutes before someone approached me. The salmon Benedict was good. The chicken sausage and rosemary potatoes (which were small, crumbled pieces of potato) were disappointing; both of these items looked and tasted better in the past so quality has gone downhill. $50 for a mediocre brunch for two is definitely overpriced.
