Loved this place, we had Kati as our server & she was awesome!! I commented on how good my ribs & chicken were & I have eaten at three different Charcoal Grill’s and this by fire was the best chicken and ribs. I’ve had without a doubt I wanted her to let her cook now so she was nice enough to bring him out and I got to thank him for a wonderful meal awesome dining room really enjoyed it and had almost the old school diner. Feel definitely will be back.

I placed an online order for pick up on Friday June 13, 2025 at about 5:20 PM and was told my food would be ready at 6:20 PM. I arrived to pick up my food at about 6:12 PM and was surprised it was ready. The person walked over to a counter where another person was standing and picked up the bag. I asked how long it had been ready for and the person by the counter shrugged and said “bout 25 minutes”. I asked if it had been sitting on the counter all this time and was told it was. When I asked if they would eat the food which had been sitting there the same person stated yes.

I am a certified food manager and know this is not allowed by law, let alone common sense. I will not be returning and thought about if I should even leave a review, but wanted others to know what happened and to make their own choice in coming here.

Unfortunately, this is type of behavior is not uncommon. I have had cold and hot food bagged together, not only here, but other restaurants.

I love and I am a regular at Charcoal Grill on Washington Ave. They always have great food and service and I always leave a big tip. NOT THIS TIME. I changed locations and I am sorry I did. I went to the one on Douglas Ave. I was served a salad that was compost. Slimy, rotting leaves! I was told both by the server AND THE MANAGER that there was nothing wrong my salad. I was embarrassed for them. I will never go back to Douglas Ave Charcoal Grill again. Go to Washington Ave location instead.

We went for lunch. Waitress was very personable and we enjoyed talking to her. Food was very good and came very quickly. The atmosphere was very laidback and pleasant. Overall it was a great experience and we will be coming back!

Went there 3/8/25 around 6:30pm and although it was not busy at all, we were sat and then no one ever came to our table to serve us. The girl working behind the counter kept looking at us and walking past our table but never acknowledged us so we left.

Got seated handed two menus and ignored for 15 minutes. Other tables were seated and brought drink orders. After waiting a while we walked out with our even getting our drink orders. The place was dead, you think they would be happy to have a customer. Will never give them another chance. From the looks of it they will be closed soon.

Working very close to this Charcoal Grill , on top of being new to the area and Charcoal Grill restaurant, I have had nothing but exceptional experience. All staff is nice & eager to help. The manager Katie is very nice and keeps a clean & organized store. Highly recommend this location to anyone in the area for a quick delicious bite to eat!

The past 3 times I have ordered food, I have at least 1 side dish missing. When I call to let them know, they basically offer me nothing. I was told to let Katie know next time I come in, like she's always going to be there. I ordered 2 pulled pork sandwiches, which come with coslaw, which I didn't get I ordered online, and it was 34 minutes for my order to be ready, you'd think with that long of a prep time it should have been right. Won't be spending any more money at this establishment. Go to the Charcoal grill on Washington Ave, if you want what you pay for!!!

The service was great the place was quite clean and well-kept, it's better than most. The food was very good, very fair priced. Katie the manager stopped and made sure everything was great. l was very pleased, will be back.
