I had the pleasure of dining at Bistro 151 tonight while on business in the northern woods of Wisconsin. I arrived on a whim without a reservation but was warmly welcomed by the lovely managers, beautiful Romi and Karen. Since I wanted to work while I waited for my food, I chose to eat at the bar away from the more serious dining crowd.
I was beyond thrilled with my entrée and salad. The cod, accompanied by a medley of tomatoes, zucchini, and olives, was cooked to perfection and rivaled dishes from various restaurants I’ve visited in Italy. The risotto was also delicious! I enjoyed the tossed salad so much that I ordered an extra one to take home.
I highly recommend visiting this gem of a restaurant in Rhinelander. Come as you are, and I'm certain you will be warmly welcomed and satisfied. I want to give an extra shout-out to Chef Chet for a fantastic dining experience and to Brian for the excellent service!

All I can say is this place from entry to last bite is one if the best eateries in Wisconsin. The salads and appetizers are terrific, the beef is the most tender we have ever tasted and the desserts were wonderful. Not to mention excellent drinks and service! If you are in the north woods this is a must stop!

My bride and I were here a little over a month ago, 5 stars for sure at that visit! My dearest Aunt and Uncle came to Rhinelander to visit, I knew immediately where to take them, we made the reservation a week in advance, we arrived a little early and had time to have a cocktail which was prepared by a very nice young lady who was friendly and knows her craft. We were seated and the dining room was busy for prom night. The atmosphere was busy but not rushed. All of the servers were cool calm and confident. Our food order was taken and when it arrived this establishment did something I did not believe was possible…they went and took a steak that I thought was the best I ever had on our last visit and made it even better on this visit!! Great food and beverage, great service and great ambiance. Thank you 151 for a 10 star experience.

The atmosphere of this place was really nice and service was good. We had a nice server and got seated right away. The restaurant was a little empty for a Friday night. The food tasted good, appetizers were awesome. I felt like the main dishes were maybe a little dated? I did have an upset tummy in the middle of the night afterwards which is very uncommon for me and could only be correlated with something I had eaten that night so I can't say that I would return.
Food was awesome. Service was so so. Had a couple of other patrons staring at us and pointing and laughing at us. We are native American. Prob won't be going back. Beware if you are not white you will most likely be ridiculed.

First time here while visiting the area and will absolutely return! The service was above and beyond and the food was delicious! The filet was cooked perfectly and I'm so glad I added mushrooms because they were excellent. We also ordered a dessert for the table and as you can see in the photo, it was epic! Great place for a fine dining experience!
