I was treated very well by by the bartender! A nice smaller bar on a lake You can't go wrong! The scenery is great! If I had the guts I would have jumped in the water but it was pretty late at night :-)

Came here with my significant other and the bartender was very extremely rude to us immediately upon entering and asked for ids calling me the guy underage then proceeded to show no hospitality at all claimed we both needed to be 21 to be there WHEN there was a mother there with her kid on an iPad and a kid behind the bar completely unprofessional and unwelcoming don't suggest coming here if that's the way they want to treat new people.

Jailhouse has been my number one go-to since 2004 when I'm in Rhinelander! Randy, the owner, is such a great guy and puts his heart and soul into making this a place where people can have a fun time and make memories. He takes pride in providing tasty food and affordable drinks that he doesn't hold back on. His staff, like Kris and Nicholas, make you feel like you're old friends. My wife, a true culinarian, had to see the kitchen and was impressed that it was the one of the absolute cleanest she has ever seen! The pizzas and tacos are fantastic, and the curds with apple jam are a treat! This has been The Place for my buddies and me all these years, and now it's a family favorite with even my youngest wanting to go when we arrive in town. I appreciate having Jailhouse available to us to fill our stomachs and our souls with wonderful memories of playing pool, watching the snowmobiles and boats go by, and laughing as we just hang out.

Their mushroom and Swiss burger is the best in rhinelander!! But all of the food is delicious!! A must try place if you’re from out of town. The owner Randy is the best!

We've been to the Jailhouse a couple of times, and both times we were greeted by a friendly, attentive bartender. It seems to be a great casual hangout for locals, but we found them to be welcoming to newbies, also. Their daily specials consist of generous servings of good ol' comfort foods at a reasonable price. Nice place to have a beverage, eat, and enjoy the lake view.
