Went in through the back entrance and was slightly underwhelmed because it appeared to be a small shack looking place; however, once I stepped through that back door and got into the building, my jaw dropped. I was greeted by a beautifully decorated interior. Im talking tea lights, real flowers, and art work. A truly stunning first impression. The staff was very friendly and oh so hospitable. Even the staff that wasn't waiting directly on us was very kind, all smiles. Once we got to ordering food it was apparent as to why the food cost what it did. However, well worth it. I must add that they did have cheaper alternatives but the main dishes were just too good sounding to pass by. The house garden salad was a quaint side dish to my entrée. The creamed spinach was alrifht but I think that's only my opinion. The full rack of baby back ribs were delicious. The pineapple mismosa, divine. Overall a very satisfactory experience, regardless of price. I'd definitely recommend coming here with a good group of friends or loved ones
Had a ribeye steak - was ok.
Where is the fish? Two small pieces of haddock. The potato was bigger than both combined! For the price i would have expected more. Do better!
Service was good but the food was horrible.
The grilled cheese sandwich is to die for.
We used to love coming here when we came to Rhinelander to drop off and pick up our boat for winter storage. This year, we had a less-than-stellar experience.
Service: Our server was amazing. He was very personable and attentive.
Food: This was a big disappointment. The disappointment started once we walked in the door and noticed they had the salad bar removed. The salad bar was a big reason we liked to come here.
Christi ordered the side of brussel sprouts. They came out very cold, as if they were in the refrigerator. We are not sure if that was how they were to be presented, but cold whole brussel sprouts are not pleasant to eat. We suspect they forgot to heat them up before serving. Her French dip (it goes by another name) was very good. The server did substitute the brussel sprouts for a very good side of risotto.
My burger (Wisconsinite Burger) was ordered medium. It came out very well done. Since it was smothered with sauerkraut and thousand island dressing, it was somewhat ediable. This burger would have been SO much better if it was properly cooked to order. The side of fries was very good.
Atmosphere: We were dining in a booth that was about 3 or 4 booths away from the kitchen. While waiting for our food, there was a lot of commotion going on in the kitchen. A couple of staff were either arguing or bantering with each other. Swear words were flying around like leaves in a late fall breeze. I wasn't offended at all. It just wasn't something you expect to hear in a nice establishment like this. One waitress heard it from the other side of the dining room, and she rushed into the kitchen to quiet the two down.
Summary: We had a fairly negative experience this visit. We have been coming here for the last 10 years, and this is the first time we have felt this way. With the absence of the wonderful salad bar, the decline of food quality, and staff experience, I think we will have to find another venue to visit during our semi-annual visit to Rhinelander.
Smoked old fashion was amazing! Baked French onion soup was delicious too.
Such a wonderful experience from start to finish! My server, Steven, was so nice, attentive, knowledgeable and helpful...exceptional service! The atmosphere was warm and cozy and all decorated for Christmas. The food was great, my steak was cooked to perfection and the espresso martini was the best end to a wonderful meal. I highly recommend Rhinelander Pub if you're visiting or looking for a nice meal out. Thank you!

Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable. Our booth was clean. It wasn't to dark in there the lighting was good. The steaks are very good tender and juicy. The baked potatoe was delicious. The French onion soup was good. The only complaint I have was the onion chunks in the French onion soup could be smaller and there was a small nat flying around our table. Other then that it was delightful
Parking: Lots of parking in back of restaurant

Was in the area and wanted to try something different so I took my family here. The interior has a classic Wisconsin supper club feel, but has been updated. The menu pricing was fair with a variety of food too choose from.
If you have kids, the portions on the kids menu are HUGE and cheap. Since everything from food to service was great we had to try a dessert, the triple chocolate ganache cake was fantastic!
Will definitely be back when I'm in the area.

Don't let the outside fool you. It's got great food, really nice staff and of course, great old fashioned's. Try the truffle fries!

DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!
I drove 2 hours to come here for the lobster, but the online menu was not updated so I got the salmon salad. The salmon on the salad was the size of a chicken tender, and it was over priced for what it's worth!

Chicken in my ceaser chicken wrap tasted like frozen bag chicken. Online menu was not updated and many items were not available and over priced.

Asparagus was overcooked but stuffed shrimp was very good. Waitress was abit slow returning with napkins, and the restaurant was not busy. Atmosphere is good. They new owners are trying to modernize a ole up north super club.
