The food is standard pub stuff and, for the most part, it's done well. However, I very much got the feeling that they favor locals. We went as a group (10 people), and we made a reservation for 7p the day prior. We arrived at 6:55p, and checked in. The server who I told of our reservation looked incredulous that we were there before our reservation time. The ten of us stood in the middle of the small dining area, next to the dirty ten-top while we waited. They didn't...
We just moved to Rice Lake and were looking for a good fish fry. We found it at J&B's! Great bar with a family atmosphere, outstanding bluegill and cod, and the best homemade potato salad I've eaten in a long time! We sat at the bar, indulged in a Summer Shanty, ordered and our food was served shortly thereafter! Staff are attentive, and service was great! We found our Friday fish fry hangout!
Comfortable experience, terrific service from a positive team, and the kitchen produces quality food! We enjoyed the delish fish fry very much. Good portions, great crunchy potato salad (the way i like it).
