This was our first time trying J's and it didn't let us down. They were very helpful with the menu explaining the options. When I asked about the Cole slaw they offered a sample. The brisket had a great "crust" with lots of peppery flavor. Was pretty lean which I like. Cole slaw didn't have dairy and uses a mustard sauce which I'm a big fan of. Didn't try the beans or sauces so can't comment there.Dietary restrictions: When I asked about dairy in the Cole slaw the answer came back quick and the cook even came out to ask if I needed help with anything else on the menu including what had egg. Super cool!I'm sure it was easier because it wasn't overly busy. But it made for an excellent experience. Thank you!
I stopped in here to J's BBQ on a work visit to Ripon on the advice of this Google review.. It did not disappoint ! I would say one of the best BBQ's I've ever had ! Super tender meat with great bark, some unique, flavorful sauces - so GOOD !Staff was so friendly and helpful as well ! Highly recommend you check it out !
Met a few friends from high school there today and the food was all amazing! The brisket was so tender and Mac n Cheese really creamy. Now for the beans, absolutely the best I have ever had!

As a pulled pork and brisket afficionado I can honestly say that this place is outstanding. Our group had The Wisconsin pulled pork and brisket along with sides. Fantastic food. Tender, full of flavor and generous. Good sauce too. The mac n cheese was delish. Definite recommendation. Will be back to enjoy this place again.

What can I say about this Little hidden gem in Ripon Wisconsin. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The brisket and pulled pork was very well seasoned very juicy and we had an Opportunity to try some burnt ends very delicious. Also had the opportunity of meeting one of the owners very friendly. I have a feeling that we will be coming back more often. My only question is the patio outside is it dog friendly. Because I have to say if it is, it will definitely earn some cool points. A "must-stop" joint when in Ripon! We love ordering take-out from J's every time we're in town. We joke that it's the reason we make the drive from the Twin Cities. We order the "Classic Loaded Options." My repeat order is Mac-N-Cheese, Pulled Pork, and Brisket-Bacon Baked Beans - delicious!

The owners and atmosphere are amazing! I would definitely recommend this ,establishment. The food is amazing, especially the mac and cheese! The brisket is smoked to perfection and the employees go above and beyond to satisfy the customers. I personally prefer the Loaded options. I'm glad to see this establishment back in town! I've missed it! If you haven't tried J's you're missing out!

Amazing food!!!The BBQ pork was so good, best I have had in forever. And I am not a huge fan of Mac and cheese, but theirs was so good! Even my son who never eats Mac and cheese said it was fantastic! The fries were great too! Service was also exceptional, super friendly. We will definitely be back!

I ordered take out Now let me tell you the brisket was heavenly...I've never had anything so tender ! I had mine plain and sliced. The Mac n cheese is so creany and delicious and the baked beans have a unique flavor of its own! My favorite place in town, they have the bestt food!

Chicken Wing are amazing here. My only complaint is the menu isn't near the order spot. If you had a large group it would be easy to forgot. I would like to seem them add menus that you could write on.
