I’m from the south so I know good bbq and this - THIS is good bbq !! What a gem of a place ! wonderful sweet folks working there AND great merch !! 10/10
TL;DR: Generous portions and a decent house sauce, but the brisket and turkey were short on smoke.
Stopped at J's BBQ in Ripon on a Thursday morning, about 15 minutes after they opened. Ordered the two-meat plate with brisket and smoked turkey, with potato salad and mac and cheese for sides. $24.12.
It came out in a black basket lined with paper. Pretty generous portions for that early in the morning. I'd be curious to see if that holds through a weekend rush.
