My spouse and I stopped in for a cocktail and beer while waiting for takeout from the Saucy Swine. It was loud and hopping on a Friday night in March. Did I say it was loud? We found the only two available seats at the bar, but as is my talent, the bar emptied out in about ten minutes. I'm a bar cooler. Later I discovered there's a tiki bar upstairs on weekends. Redbar looks like a typical Milwaukee tavern, but it has a diverse crowd for St. Francis. We were treated well at the bar, and the tenders were friendly. I liked this place and felt comfortable. St. Francis isn't anything like it was 15 years ago. I dare say the Sout Side ain't the same. Third Ward, Walker's Point, Bay View, and now maybe St. Francis, are more East Side than the East Side. "The Times They Are A Changin."

Monday evening 5:30 pm My husband and I walk in. The bartender asks if we are ordering food, “no”, we answer, “but we would like to order drinks”Then the bartender walks away. She comes back 5 minutes later and starts stocking the bar. She completely ignored us even though we were sitting at the bar waiting to order our drinks. After a few more minutes of her ignoring us, we walked out.I had better, quicker service while at the same bar on a very busy Saturday evening.I don’t think I will go to the Red Bar again because of the very inattentive Monday evening bartender. Bad service = fewer patrons ☹️

They have very good and generous portions of barbecue choices. The drinks were pretty good, too.

My first time here and I would definitely return! Came with friends for a birthday celebration. Enjoyed the upper level tiki bar - opens at 6pm. Ordered a variety of BBQ and we were all happy! Lots of space to hang out. Plenty of TVs to watch sports. Our bartender was hustling since she was alone upstairs. Great neighborhood spot!

Went to Red bar on Sunday for a jukebox bingo event that was taking place and we had an incredible time on Saturday and because we do the best we can to follow different jukebox bingo events it gives us the opportunity to visit many different bar and grills so I am happy we had the chance to visit Red bar because the staff was very friendly and the entire crowd of the bar was in a great mood singing along with all the songs although I do wish there was more seating available and I believe there was because I noticed an upstairs but there was a velvet rope blocking it off and if you know anything about velvet ropes it's that you must never cross them lol but what really won me over aside from the great people was the food now I only had a chance to try one dish me and my girlfriend shared the elote sprouts which is which is basically fried Brussels sprouts one of our favorite foods topped with elote one of our other favorite foods so needless to say it was a win-win situation and we definitely made the right choice but the drinks can get to rather expensive my girl ordered a crown apple with cranberry and pineapple juice and it came out to 10 dollars and fifty cents which is fine in the busier parts of the city but at a smaller establishment I expect smaller prices although overall I would definitely visit this place again just for the food because after looking through the menu they just have too many items I need to try so I look forward to my next visit and recommend anybody in the area to check out Redbar for good music a good crowd and most of all a good time.

The location wasn't bad at all, Food is off the top worthy. Music, atmosphere, and nostalgic appearance is enjoyable to visit. Service was well worth it however when busy, it is quiet cramped.
