My husband and I stopped here after a long day of hiking and exploring Ironwood MI and Saxon area. We read the reviews on Google and they were all really good so we popped in. It was Monday at 5pm. There was 1 gentleman at the bar and the bartender (owner). We were greeted and served drinks right away. Service was excellent! All of our needs met. Nice corner bar with additional tables and hightop table seating. Looked like an outdoor area was set up with canopy and picnic tables...
This bar was featured in the Wisconsin book "Bottoms Up", a book about historic bars and taverns throughout the state. This place does not disappoint. The original mahogany bar still stands - although it was originally moved in from another saloon in the U.P. when the building was built in the 20 's.
