Friendly and fun lake adjacent bar, with a basic menu you would expect at most taverns. Their forte is definitely their burgers. Many unique choices on the menu. They have a gigantic one (see my picture) I think it's like 1.8 lbs of meat!! I didn't order that, but a couple of guys sitting by us did. (They split it) It was crazy big, but actually looked cooked well and everything on it looked fresh and tasty. They said it was good. I did however, order a (regular) sized "build your own" burger and a side of onion rings. I liked my burger a lot. Definitely worth coming back for. Onion rings were also pretty good. My wife ordered the fish and chips basket. This meal was very average. Pretty much, your basic frozen battered fish, deep fried and served with okay French Fries. Burger was great, fish basket not so much. Would recommend stopping in for drinks and a burger. Skip the fish. (But maybe they serve different fish for their Friday Fish Fry)

Service not good. Waited 1 hour for food and then he came and said sorry it didn't go through but it's in now. The food came out 15 minutes later and was not at all what we ordered. Almost just walked out but told us they would help us out on the check. I paid full price and my buddy got $4 off for over priced mediocre food. I would not recommend. Better service and food on the other side of town.

Went to the Pad for dinner on a Wednesday evening. One of their specials is beef tips over your choice of mashed potatoes or noodles, and that comes with a vegetable and a fresh baked bun. The service was very good and the portions were excellent. The beef tips were tender and served in a beef gravy. Tasty and filling. That was our second time for the Wednesday special and is worth going back again.

Flew up to Shawano with friends from Waukesha today. We were on our way to eat at The Pad. First let me tell you the people at the airport were wonderful but I also have to say the people at The Pad were remarkable. We met the owner Dan who was full of great stories of his life and an incredible guy. We had a blast even though I couldn’t drink. And let me tell you the food was awesome. Btw. we had the sassafras burger and boy was it tasty. Friendly staff great people wonderful food. Thanks again Dan for the awesome time.

Was a Holiday atmosphere, lots of people in the bar. Service was prompt, very nice and accommodating. Had burgers and they were fresh and served hot. Fries or chips for sides. Had a couple beers and soda. Simple good food on a bar atmosphere. Clean too!!

Salty breading on my fish fry and way to expensive for bar food. Not a worth the stop service was of a typical bar. Had to wait 10mn while waiting for service while maybe 10 folks in the facility.

Our second time visiting Shawano and we decided to try The Pad. The staff and food were amazing! So much so that we went there two nights in a row. We had a larger group of people and they happily accommodated us. Highly recommend!
