Friendly and fun lake adjacent bar, with a basic menu you would expect at most taverns. Their forte is definitely their burgers. Many unique choices on the menu. They have a gigantic one (see my picture) I think it's like 1.8 lbs of meat!! I didn't order that, but a couple of guys sitting by us did. Went to the Pad for dinner on a Wednesday evening. One of their specials is beef tips over your choice of mashed potatoes or noodles, and that comes with a vegetable and a fresh baked bun. The service was very good and the portions were excellent. The beef tips were tender and served in a beef gravy. Tasty and filling. That was our second time for the Wednesday special and is worth going back again.

Flew up to Shawano with friends from Waukesha today. We were on our way to eat at The Pad. First let me tell you the people at the airport were wonderful but I also have to say the people at The Pad were remarkable. We met the owner Dan who was full of great stories of his life and an incredible guy. We had a blast even though I couldn’t drink. And let me tell you the food was awesome.
