Would've been an amazing experience if we didn't wait for over 30 mins for a table we reserved like 3 weeks prior to our dinner. We wanted to watch the sunset from our table and I requested that 3 weeks prior - to have a table at 5:45 to watch a 6:09 sunset. Apparently the people at our 7 person table over stayed at the table to watch the sunset so we missed out. And then we had to clarify to the young hosts (doing their best but clearly unaware of why it was a problem to wait for 30 mins for dinner with a multi generational: group, kids, parents, grandparents) that we were happy to take two tables near each other if it meant we didn't have to wait any longer. I feel I had to stay on top of them in order to get seated. Otherwise we might still be standing out there today I fear. Wonderful food and the waitress was great. The food and drinks were very expensive but everything was good. Will go again but maybe not a Saturday night. The sunset was absolutely incredible so maybe it drew an extra large crowd but it was January....

Amazing location, which makes feel like you are in vacation, even if you live in Tampa Bay. Food was good and the lady who served us was amazing!

What a lovely spot. We sat on the deck next to the beach. Everyone happy with their meals. Grouper tacos were terrific. Love waitstaff.

Food and drinks very nice and enjoyable. The prices have increased over the past few years, with 2 draft beers, 2 gin & tonic, 2 appetizers, 6 entrees, no dessert - total $360 (with tip). Getting pricey Very nice location and sunsets

We went for my husband's birthday and it was amazing!! Our waitress was wonderful and the food was to die for!!

Food was amazing and was very quick. Service was exceptional, never once had to ask for a refill, she would notice was getting low and would bring to the table. View was great. Was an excellent experience and would go again for sure and will on our next visit!

The Sandbar is an iconic location to dine on Anna Maria Island, and the perfect location to bring visiting guests to enjoy great food and a beautiful setting for sunset. That was our plan for dinner last night and as always, the Sandbar delivered. Service was great, the food was delicious, and the even without clouds, the sunset was beautiful.

Our waitress was absolutely amazing. She was right on top of everything. She was fun and engaging.
The food was good. Service was very slow. We were there rather late and our server never seemed to be in any rush to attend to us, take our orders, etc. Otherwise it was fine.

First time visit, the location was fun. It was right on the beach. The food was good, nothing outstanding that comes to mind.  Wouldn't recommend for a special occasion or a date night, restaurant was very loud and it was hard to carry on a conversation. I would definitely recommend it more for lunch.
