After a long day of travel including a series of incremental flight delays that kept me from walking away to eat, I finally made it to Sheboygan and walked into Black Pig at about 8:30 when they close at 9. Bartender Michael welcomed me in and even though I offered to order my food to go he encouraged me to stay and enjoy my dinner while it was hot. (Thank goodness since it was a balmy 0 degrees outside). The food was amazing! The salad was beautiful and the pan seared striped...
Food was upscale and a little pricey. Not my normal, but it was tasty. Decent selection of adult beverages with about 10 tap lines. Atmosphere will bring me back. Spacious and cozy at the same time. Embossed tin ceilings and hard wood floors give this an updated retro feel.
In town for the weekend for an event at Kohler, we sat at the bar and had a nice dinner (the scallops were lovely!) I just wanted to leave a google review because the bartender (with the mustache!) provided the best service I have had in a very long time. They took the time to understand what we were looking for, gave great cocktail modifications, and overall just made me and my dinner companion feel very cared for. I would absolutely return just based on the service!
