I don't recommend this bakery because I used to work there and the other sales girls that worked the counter wouldn't take the time to properly train me when I got hired on,they were all mean to me they belittled me in front of customers and they got snappy when I asked questions about things I didn't know being a new employee and all .Even the managers at this bakery were mean such as the cake decorator named Amy and 2 managers both with the names Megan .I would leave the bakery crying after my morning shift from unwelcomed mean behaviour towards me .Shortly after this they decided to fire me .This was at least a couple years ago but still fresh in my mind Everytime I see this place or walk by it on a daily basis .Just the other day my fiance and I were walking in the midst of crossing 12th and superior whenthe owner of the bakery happened to be turning our way from the corner of 12th and superior and even tho we were walking across the street 1st and he could see that he turned anyway in a lil speed and almost hit my fiance and I with his black SUV looking looking vehicle and didn't bother to let us finish crossing he just turned our way and kept coming at us without an acknowledgement or a sorry .So this bakery is an establishment run by an owner and his lady employees who are all stuck up rude and have bad attitudes .
Great coffee and the chocolate with sprinkles had me in tears at 5 in the morning. So good!!!
Friendly and efficient staff, amazing selection and very fairly priced. Will be back next time I'm in town!
love the hard rolls so much i detoured a work road trip by about 300miles each direction last year and got a friend to deliver some to me this past weekend to Michigan.
I used to love Johnston's but today I have been completely disappointed. I bought an assortment, a cupcake, a piece of cake, a donut, and a pineapple upside-down cake. None of them were good. They were all stale and dry, as if they had been in the case for a week. The frosting on the cupcake was hard, the paper so dried on that it was difficult to remove. The cream cake, which is usually so moist and lovely was dry all around the outside, and the frosting on top also hard and crusty, obviously several days old. They were not worth eating, and honestly they ruin the integrity of the bakery for me. How sad.

It's always a delight to visit! I had a bakery I frequently loved going to in my hometown. What a blessing it was to find a bakery when I moved to Sheboygan that was just as wonderful! Even if they're busy, the staff are always so kind and welcoming. And, oh, the delicious treats! ?
Oh, exactly what you want for your town bakery. Lots and lots of options for donuts and breads and cakes. Even have the classic smiley face cookies! Coffee was delicious. Plenty of seating options if you have time to stay and chat with a friend. Rather central to downtown businesses, so easy enough to stop by here when running errands. Definitely worth returning to time and again.
Johnson's Bakery seems to be a family business and looks old and traditional, I don't know the history of this bakery, but it seems like a family owned and run maybe for multiple generations. The smell driving up Superior Avenue got my attention. But once inside, I was enjoying all the smells and a friendly atmosphere.
I tried not to eat too much sugar, but the cookies and desserts were too tempting, and I had to try the pastries and breads here are fresh and delicious

I'm a donut connoisseur from St. Louis. I tried a few shops around Sheboygan while I was in town visiting relatives. Johnston's had a good selection and tasty donuts. The highlight was the cruller. It was stellar! I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town.

The donuts & cookies were very good! The coffee was okay. We got the caramel mocha & chocolate and they mostly tasted like syrup. When we ordered we had to wait 10 minutes to pay. I did not realized there’d be a wait, since there was no line to pay, until I asked to add something to my order before they rang us up and the person at the cash register smartly asked “to their order?” And pointed to the couple behind me. I was fine with waiting but I didn’t appreciate the response I was given when she could’ve simply told me she would check out the people behind me first and then add it to my order when our drinks were done. Other than that one lady every other worker in there was nice!
