We went on a Tuesday approx 1230 pm. Very Busy ! 45 min wait but they have a gift shop to browse thru. Lots to see. The service was good. The food was good but pricy. For the Swedish meatball dish you get 6 regular size meatballs plus a scoop
Of mash potatoes. It was good but $19 seems pricy. It was a fun experience overall. I did purchase some indigo color drinking glasses for my sons kitchen. We are glad we went in. We can say we ate there ? the glasses I purchased were identical to the ones being used at each table ?IA- MC

Goats on the roof good food under the roof. This place is definitely the G.O.A.T. If they really wanted to generate publicity they should get Tom Brady and Michael Jordan and Wayne Gretzy to come sit on the roof.

Restaurant and food were great! The fact to see real goats on the roof was so much fun, and the beer garden right after was amazing! The only "negative" thing is you'd better get there 1 hour before you are thinking to eat, it gets really busy, we wait long minutes for a table.

A staple of the Door County experience and a place to learn more about the Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, and Scandinavian history of the area. Food was fantastic, servers were very kind, and atmosphere felt like a quaint brunch place. The average wait time after putting your name in will be about an hour so plan ahead. You can visit several of the local boutiques or the store inside the restaurant.
Parking: Free parking on the street all along the area, be comfortable with parallel parking. During peak season you may have to walk a while.
Kid-friendliness: Strollers are not allowed in the restaurant.

The area is amazing! the outside sitting area is relaxing and big! so a lot of room for a group of people! the yellow umbrellas appeal the bees as well with the food &drinks so if your allergic to bees i wouldn’t suggest going. (not their fault) but; the bar tender was not nice. she was an older blond lady. my father and i went up to get some drinks and asked what they had and if we could try stuff and she was just very nonchalant about it. just “sure” and then when we went up later my dad said to her “what a great day hey?” and she said “not if your working” and then when he tried to say something to make her say a little better she cut him off and said “have a vacation sir” absolutely unacceptable! i am a manager myself and if i were to hear she spoke to people like that i would be sitting her down immediately! very disgusting and disrespectful behavior working at a place where tourists are active! she needs to be chatted with. and she’s lucky it wasn’t me.

Great Swedish restaurant with large menu. Get there early and put your party on the list as they do not take reservations. It is often a 2-3 hour wait, but worth it as you can explore nearby.

Wait staff (and hostess) is overwhelmed but kitchen is fast. Food good but best part is the goats on the grass roof. Not sure they like it but it is definitely different

Goats on the roof were the draw. Food was awful - just fried stuff and meatballs. Tons of souvenir junk for sale. Kind of reminded me of a Cracker Barrel, but with bad food.
