We love exploring new restaurants whenever we visit Door County, and this one is definitely going on our list of places to return to. The enclosed outdoor patio setup was so comfortable and inviting, the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a great meal. Our host and server were both wonderful, making us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. We ordered the sushi and the tofu ramen, and both dishes were absolutely incredible, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. If you’re in the area, this is a must-try spot!

From the moment we arrived, the service was excellent—attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly welcoming. They somehow figured out it was my birthday and treated me to an outstanding, special dessert, which was the perfect, thoughtful end to the meal.
Now, for the food. I consider myself a sushi snob, and the cuisine here is truly outstanding. The Godzilla 2.0 roll is, by far, the best sushi roll I have ever had. The balance of flavor, texture, and freshness was impeccable. Every dish we ordered showcased incredible quality and masterful preparation. If you like high-quality food, do yourself a massive favor: make a reservation and treat yourself to the culinary magic happening at Fat Belly. You won't regret it! Wish we had Fat Belly in Twin Cities!

Amazing! I was skeptical about rolls and ramen in Door County, but Fat Belly delivers. . .have been there twice now and it has always been really, really good! Get the Yuzu sake too!

One of our favorites in Door County! Everything is delicious, but the seared steak might have been the best meal I've ever eaten. The staff is always so friendly and we love the ambiance!

Staff immediately let us know they’d be with us despite it being busy, got us seated outside and then told us they saw it would rain so we got to move inside. Got loaded fries, ramen and a California roll for 2 people and we were very impressed. Sushi was refreshing and filling, fries were flavorful and pork belly on top was cooked to perfection. Korean ramen was tangy and delicious.

Fat Belly is the closest thing that Northern Door has to Oriental food, and I am very grateful for that. The restaurant, located behind the go cart track in Sister Bay, is tiny, only four or five tables and a very small bar. The seating, thankfully, is augmented by outdoor seating during the clement months. Fat Belly DOES take reservations, (YAY!) but you have to give them your credit card to do so. Your card will be charged a minimal amount if you fail to show for your meal. This reservation system has been very easy for us in the many months that we have dined here. I hope that you understand their situation: They are so small that a no show table of a large party would ruin their evening. It just isn't fair. Anyway, back to the food! I love this place! They are so eager to please here. Various sauces from hot to sweet can be supplied for any dish, The appetizers are all yummy from Potstickers to crab rangoon (Yum!) to shrimp wings to many other items, but those are our favorites. The entree include many items in a bowl, all delicious. Our favorite is the pork and chicken in a bowl with garden accompaniments and sitting on a bed of rice. Plenty of food here. There is a whole side menu of ramen and sushi. I've tried them but there are too many too mention here. The staff consisting of Nate, Sam, and Daniel are all a delight and add much camaraderie to the meal. You can' t go wrong here at Fat Belly, so go for it!
The Samuri Bowl is absolutely insane. Highly recommend.

Great staff, outstanding food, and Sushi in DoCo! The staff was very welcoming and happy to answer our questions and talk about the menu. We had the dressed pot stickers and crab rangoon apps and shared Godzilla 2.0 roll and the pow pow noods. Highlight was the shrimp in the noodle bowl. Next time we're getting the Shrimp Wings!

My only complaint, is that the poke bowl came with lettuce, and that was the only ingredient not listed on the menu description. I don’t like salad lettuce in my poke bowl, had it been listed on the menu, I would have either asked to have to removed, or I would have ordered something different.
