Absolutely Excellent! Me and my lady ate here this evening, and it was one of the best overall places we have ever been. The food was exquisite, the service was excellent and proficient, and the atmosphere was exactly what you want in a good spot.
They have a quote by Anthony Bourdain on the wall, and it was at that precise moment, I knew we were gonna have an incredible meal. We got both sushi and ramen, as well as the crab rangoons and the cucumber salad. Everything was immaculate in both presentation, as well as flavor and execution. I tried one of their offerings of saki, and it was the best saki I have personally had. The ramen is in my top three ramens of all time.
They do have limited seating both at the tables and at the bar, so I would personally advise making a reservation in advance.

We had a sake flight, a sushi roll, pot stickers, a poke bowl, and the beef meal. Everything was wonderful. It’s well worth getting away from the main area for this food.

WOW. We have been coming to Door County for 30 years. We typically don't try new things but so glad we tried Fat Belly! Our triple S salad and tofu bowls were incredible, and Danny was the best server ever.

If you like sushi, poké or ramen, stop reading and just go. There is -no- place in Door Co that matches Fat Belly for sushi. Apps and rolls were not just flavorful but fabulous. Add in a good beer or sake and a sunny eve for pure pleasure. We did not get to try the ramen, poké bowls or fried dishes, but we will soon. This is a treasure, hidden from the mad crowds in Ephraim and Sisters Bay. Enjoy!

Don't let the name or “off the main” location and small footprint fool you. Every app and roll we tried here was on par with the best mid-west sushi and ramen restaurants. It beats many on the coasts. We had three of the four offered apps and a specialty roll. Each was balanced, distinctive and delicious. Favorites? Maybe the dim sum and Kung Fu-ngus! Fat Belly's was a delight of clean fish, nuanced sauces and careful presentation. Pork ramen, a few deep fried specialty rolls and vegetarian options add choices for anyone that doesn't want raw fish. We will be back. Thank you.

The food was unique and delicious. They had way more than just sushi. There was indoor and outdoor seating and the setup was charming. Staff was great. Can't wait to go back next year!!

Wow, hands down the BEST food I’ve ever had. Meant to take pictures of our entrees, but the appetizer was so good I immediately dug in once the food arrived!
