Goose and Twigs is a phenomenal place to stay. The location is ideal, just a minute walk away from downtown Sister Bay. The rooms are great, nothing is out of place and all the amenities you expect are present. The coffee shop is phenomenal! Quick and easy morning breakfast at an affordable price. The staff does an awesome job and is always friendly and helpful!

We were so blown away by how amazing our stay was! We planned a mothers-daughters trip and got two rooms at Goose & Twigs. Everything was perfect and Goose was so amazing throughout our stay- from providing recommendations to providing rides to non-walkable locations. The coffee shop is amazing and we just loved learning about Goose and his family who run this amazing place!

My roots in Door County are 6th generation deep, so I love seeing local businesses thrive! My family and I had an unforgettable stay at Goose & Twigs in Sister Bay, Wisconsin, and I can confidently say it’s the ONLY place I recommend north of my hometown Sturgeon Bay. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with kindness and care. Our car had broken down in town, and the owner went out of his way to pick us up—something you just don’t find everywhere. Their customer service went far above and beyond anything we expected. The owner Goose and his twins (Twigs) are delightful and truly felt like family.
The room itself was cozy and beautifully designed, with thoughtful touches throughout. The mattress was absolutely fabulous—soft and cloud-like, offering the best night’s sleep I’ve had in a long time. The towel selection was impressive too, including a designated makeup towel and darker towels, which I really appreciated. The landscaping outside is simply stunning and added such peace and charm to the whole experience. The on-site coffee house was the cherry on top, serving scrumptious coffees and fresh bakery treats in the morning. If you’re headed anywhere in Door County, do yourself a favor and grab a treat here, but even better yet… stay here. Goose & Twigs is a true treasure! Really appreciated the owner talking us through how to access our room using the app. Room was spacious and relaxing. One suggestion--add a narrow bench at the end of the bed. There was no place to sit except on the bed which is not always the best. Great location for walking around downtown Sister Bay.

The hotel was a bit pricey for what it offered, but it was conveniently located in the heart of Sister Bay.
We arrived around 5 pm, two hours after the check-in time, and found the office closed. I called the office and was informed that my key card was in a jar outside the office. While this was not ideal, it was not a major inconvenience.
The room itself was quite basic, with a bed, a sofa, a TV, and a bathroom. There was a coffee maker, but no cups, which was annoying.
The location of the motel was its main selling point, as it was right in the downtown area of Sister Bay. This made it very easy to walk to restaurants, shops, and other attractions.
Checking out was a simple process, and the gentleman at the front desk was polite and helpful. However, there was no complimentary coffee or breakfast offered, which I felt it was a bit of a missed opportunity, especially considering the price of the stay.
Overall, I would recommend this motel to someone looking for a simple place to stay in Sister Bay, as long as they are aware of the basic amenities and lack of extras like complimentary breakfast or coffee.

A hidden gem in Door County! We didn’t even mean to come here, but did after a few places were way to busy with hour long waits. The coffee, food, location, decor and service are all amazing! We will definitely be back. Highly suggest the Monte Crisco! I think this is the best food I had while in Door County. So happy we found this place and highly suggest!
