We just went here for lunch, they had nice vegetarian options. Owner was very friendly. Good overall experience. View was nice too.
Stayed here for a weekend wedding celebration. Lovely little place. Old and quaint. Excellent breakfast and a free beer fridge for guests. Collin the owner was very hospitable and helpful. Perfect location a block off the main drag in Sister Bay so easy walks to all the shopping and eating and beach!

And the award for hottest inn, inn food, and innkeeper and crew goes to Roots Inn & Kitchen. Seriously, my first thought and comment after having my first bites of the breakfast bibimbap was, "this chef DGAF" about toning it down for the midwest palate; talk about a flavor bomb! Kimchee for breakfast in Wisconsin: cheeky, and I'm here for it. Oh, and the Inn is so cozy and intimate, and, yet, at the same time, quiet. You've redefined bed and breakfasts, Mr. Collin and team, a tip of the hat. Kindly, Jessica and Kyle

My new favorite restaurant in Door County! Most of the menu is vegan, and the unique flavors are amazing. Omnivores are very happy here as well - they can add protein to dishes or have a brat. Fantastic selection of local beers, fast service and a gorgeous dog-friendly patio make this a must visit in Sister Bay. I'll be back!
Roots is an amazing bed and breakfast! Can’t rave enough about our stay! Collin is an absolutely amazing host. He is a wizard in the kitchen - breakfast here was some of the best food on our trip to Door County. Literally cannot speak higher of the food. The service is so warm and friendly. Collin takes time to chat to his guests, and remembers everyone’s names - very personable. The location of the inn is perfect - walking distance to all of Sister Bay. Parking was never a problem. The room was so cute and quaint. The house itself is decorated in a detailed way where you can find little unique aspects of every nook and cranny of the historic building. 10/10 stay, highly recommend.

This is a review of the restaurant and not the bed-and-breakfast. Probably the best priced and incredibly delicious healthy/comfort food. The best bratwurst I’ve ever had in my life. Incredible salad. There’s a dish for everybody. But you gotta come for the brat sandwich!!! Decent atmosphere and incredible service.
Food & drinks: Perfectly cooked and prepared.

Our stay in SB began in 2007. This habitat in 2016 was our last stay, and its owners then were Bill and Louise Robbins. (The Inn on Maple)Fast forward to 2024, a modern and handsome generation, the owner's name is Collin, has acquired it, and its restoration is rustic, beautiful and comfortable. The meals served are deliciously organic, farm to table, and nutritious! The owner and his team are gracious, warm and friendly, and their objective is to in someway between cooking and welcoming new guests, to establish a relationship with their visitors. July could not get here fast enough, because we're returning! Toni and Toby, Wauwatosa, Wi.Rooms: Our room spacious, sparkling clean, and it's ok to sleep with the window open to allow the fresh air into the room as you're slumbering.Nearby activities: Walking is convenient to most of the eateries or pubs of your choice and personal shopping.Safety: Quite safe. Every visitor appears relaxed in this serene environment.Walkability: It's safe. The walkways are busy even at 10pm.

The food here is absolutely incredible! We stayed in the study room and loved it. Walking distance to shops, coffee place and restaurants. They also catered to some dietary restrictions, which made for a perfect meal. Very friendly and accommodating owners. Highly recommend to couples looking for a relaxing stay in door county!
Wow. First time eating here and we were blown away. Great ambiance…rustic, comfortable, welcoming…the minute you walk in, you feel just good. The game was on, which was ??. Great menu. Everything we ordered was delicious. Will absolutely come back. ((Fantastic vegan options- where you have to be told it’s vegan or you wouldnt know it!!)) and great gluten free options as well!!

Decided to choose the Roots Inn in Sister Bay, Door County for my 45th birthday location and I’m sure glad I did. They had a very easy check in process, we were greeted and handed the keys to our room, given a specifics about our room and the property and told that breakfast will be served promptly at 8:30-9:30 am the following morning. I truly enjoyed the property and the decor, it is a historic site so that was very interesting to get to experience staying in a piece a property that had been renovated that is a part of the history of the town. We were able to drink anything out of the refrigerator which included water soda and an assortment of alcoholic beverages. We decided to sit on the screened in porch and play some cards while enjoying a beverage before we headed out for dinner at LURE, a nice seafood and steak place just two blocks away from the BNB, so convenient!!! The morning after, we arrived for breakfast, we were served a squash and zucchini bake with breakfast potatoes and heirloom tomatoes vegan Parmesan with some kind of herb lemon dressing topped with a fried egg, on the side there were sliced apples and pears for palate cleansing. I was very impressed and I look forward to visiting them again in the future.Rooms: Our room was the water room, very nicely decorated and very clean. Absolutely loved it!!!Nearby activities: Lots of nearby restaurants and bars within very easy walking distance

We first visited the restaurant and bar multiple times before booking a stay at the B&B. Wow what a great experience. Colin and the entire team were so personable each time we came in and during our stay. Incredible attention to detail. Amazing atmosphere, fantastic food, and great drink selection in both alcohol and a whole NA list as well. Each year we look forward to coming back. And if they have the cauliflower wings on the menu when you’re there you’ve gotta get them! So good!!!!!!

If ever there was a perfect BNB this is it! To put things in perspective, I travel a lot. I have travelled all over the US and Mexico, explored Guatemala and Cuba and also visited Spain, Morroco and Brazil. So I have stayed a few places, haha. This was one of the two or three nicest places I have ever stayed. First, the room was cute and the bed was comfy. There was a living room for guests´ use that was also very comfy and pretty. I loved the fridge with complimentary drinks. And, don´t get me started on the breakfasts that are included. Amazing, just amazing. Delicious. Great coffee too. The place just had a zen vibe, and all the other guests were chill too. You can walk to everything. I highly recommend Roots, you will not be disappointed.
